| VI. Predicting Moon Mages must make predictions. Ordinarily I would advise Novice Moon Mages to obtain Divination Bones as soon as possible. Ordinarily, I would also include explicit, detailed instructions on how to predict. However, I am writing this guide during a period of great change and flux. Divination bones are no longer working properly. Starcharts are useful, but expensive. Meanwhile, you can predict without using any special tools. Predict the weather, predict your future, predict the futures of others. Be aware, though... you must NEVER make a prediction for someone else without their permission. Some see Moon Mage predictions as a simple view into the future, some see predictions as a potential future which can be altered by actions in the present, and some see predictions as ways of actually changing someone's future (in the sense of "blessing" or "cursing" them). Due to these varying viewpoints, some people do not want to ever receive a prediction, and there have been instances where the recipient of an unwelcome prediction by a Moon Mage has attacked the Moon Mage for predicting without permission. |
