VII. Ranger Magic C. Protection Book 1. Sphere of Protection: This is a very good spell to choose as your first when you reach your fifth circle in the guild. The effects will be very small while your young, and will not last long at all. But, as you get older, it will have a larger effect on your ability to evade attacks. It will also protect you from the swarm spell and fire rain spells. The most important thing about this spell is that it is one of the two best spells we have to learn our magic skills with, no matter how skilled you are, this spell will still teach you well. 2. Zone of Protection: (requires Sphere of Protection) This spell is definitely not a good choice for a young ranger, it doesn't do anything that sphere of protection cannot, it does not help evasion and you have to be the leader of the group for the benefits of the spell to affect others. In most cases if you need the protection it is much more mana effective to cast sphere of protection on everyone else. Only get this spell if you usually hunt with large groups and enjoy casting swarm a lot. |
