| II. BECOMING
A WARRIOR MAGE B. SPELL SELECTION Fire Shard: The Fire Shard spell conjures a fist-sized shard of elemental fire and hurls it at its target. The intensity of the damage varies with the amount of power invested in the spell. It can be targeted. This spell is perhaps the most versatile of the first Targeted Magic spells. It is usually the spell that introduces a young Warrior Mage to targeting specific body parts. It will teach you Targeted Magic skill nicely and you can cast it with as low as 1 mana. Frost Scythe: The Frost Scythe spell creates a great blade of ice that attacks the target. Damage will depend upon your magical abilities and accuracy. It can be targeted. However, this spell requires the largest amount of mana for a minimum of all the beginner targeted spells so it can't be cast as much without waiting for mana to return. Fist of Stone: The Fist of Stone spell causes a small stone to separate from the ground beneath you and hurtle towards your opponent. This spell can cause great damage, depending on the power used and the accuracy of the attack. It can be targeted. This spell also requires a little more mana for minimum but could work as a first spell. Paeldryth's Wrath: The Paeldryth's Wrath spell channels the unseen currents of air into a blast directed at your opponent. The spell will throw your opponent out of melee with you, and possibly damage your enemy and knock it off its feet, depending on the power and accuracy of the attack. This spell requires a lot of mana for a young Warrior Mage to use at minimum. It is a great spell to watch, but does not teach Targeted Magic skill well to the young. Many mages believe that the spirit of Paeldryth watches those who use his spell and will aid those in dire straits. It can be targeted. |
