A WARRIOR MAGE C. MECHANICAL LORE Mechanical lore is a skill you will find useful as you grow older. Mech lore is used in the carving of our talismans. We can carve different talismans depending on our age and skill. There are several ways to get mech lore: making potions, combining and breaking items, crushing items, carving bows and arrows, and carving branches. In the beginning, a good way you'll learn to carve is by carving branches. What you need to do is forage for branches (outside the northeast gate of Crossing and around the Warrior Mage guild are good spots) until you find one. Then you take a sharp knife and carve the branch with your knife. You may not succeed in carving at first but the more you do it the better you become at it. Carving bows and arrows is an advanced skill best learned when you're older. Another simple method to learn is by creating potions. To create a potion you need the proper dried or crushed herb, a catalyst, water, and a mixing container (almost any container that can be opened and closed will do). Simply put all the ingredients in the same container, close it and shake. If done correctly you will have a healing potion or salve. |
