A WARRIOR MAGE C. MECHANICAL LORE Now you might have been asking, how do I crush an herb? Well I'm glad you asked, the most popular and easy way to gain mech lore experience is by crushing grasses, roots and leaves in a mortar with a pestle. A mortar and pestle cost about 7 silvers each. Once you are able to make enough money to buy one I recommend you do so. Normally one would forage an item to be crushed (georin grass is a common crushable item that can be easily found with low foraging skill), place it in a mortar and use the pestle to crush it. To accomplish this feat, hold the mortar with the item(s) to be crushed in one hand and the pestle in the other. Then proceed to crush the items until they are pulp or powder. This is how most people get their mech lore skill, even when they are older. Until you are able to afford to buy a mortar and pestle, combining vines is another good way to earn your first few ranks of mech lore skill. It works better at low ranks of mech lore skill as it is not as difficult as crushing. Simply forage for vines until you have one in each hand, and combine them by typing 'combine vine with vine' until they combine. Then forage up another vine and continue combining. |
