III. FAMILIARS
A. FAMILIAR SIZES AND TYPES

Familiars are creatures that are magically controlled by a Warrior Mage. The familiar responds to direction through a talisman, which is specifically bonded to the Warrior Mage controlling it.

As you gain experience within the guild, you will be able to summon and control larger creatures. The larger the creature, the greater its capabilities to serve you. There are presently four types of familiars: The Small familiar, the Large familiar, the Dark familiar, and the Fir familiar.

Any Warrior Mage holding a Small talisman that is bonded to them can summon a small familiar. Small familiars include gerbils, guinea pigs, lizards, and turtles.

Any Warrior Mage holding a large talisman that is bonded to them can summon a large familiar. Large familiars include bats, rats, rabbits, squirrels, piglets, and crows. Any Warrior Mage holding a dark talisman that is bonded to them can summon a dark familiar. Dark familiars include dogs, cats, geese, falcons and ravens.

Any Warrior Mage circle 50 or higher holding a fir talisman that is bonded to them can summon a fir familiar. Fir familiars include owls, panthers, leopards, bears and lynxes.

Winged familiars do not have the ability fly indoors. Fir familiars dislike towns, and will not readily enter town gates. They also do not relay messages for their Warrior Mage as the smaller familiars do.
