IV. ADVANCING IN THE OUR GUILD
C. FAVORS

If you depart and have favors, you will awaken in the nearest temple, bare as the day you were born. All that you were wearing will be buried in a grave where you departed. You will have to hurry back there, because after a span of time the grave will begin to decay, and release the items it holds.

If you depart without having a cleric rejuvenating you, you will lose memories. The longer you lay dead, the more memories you lose. Before departing, you should have someone drag you to a cleric who may be able to preserve your memories before you depart.

You may also request the cleric resurrect you. It should be emphasized that Clerics with the gift of life do not have to resurrect you. If you do not have favors, it is not unreasonable for them to refuse to resurrect you as they lose one of their own favors to bring you back to life. Therefore, you should be prepared before the event of your death, and take time to complete the Favor Quest.

There are books located in the Cleric Guild Library and Asemath Academy Library about the Gods and Goddesses of Elanthia. Go to either library and the read a book titled "The Immortals". It describes in detail the thirteen major Gods and Goddesses of Elanthia. Selecting which God or Goddess you wish to worship is a personal choice.

Now that you have picked your God, it is time to journey to the Ruins outside the West Gate. The details of the journey are part of your quest, but here is the starting point: Head out the west gate of Crossing, but don't take the path to goblins. Instead head northwest, west, and southwest. Continue in a southwesterly direction till you find the ruins called Siergelde's. Follow the road, keeping an eye out for any clues (trails, archways) should you reach a room with no other directional options.
