Ath'lael managed a weak smile as her newborn infant was bundled in soft linen and handed to Inalm. The Namer's violet eyes flashed as she caught the first sight of the baby's tiny face, and a hush filled the room.  Her eyebrow raised, and a hint of amusement seemed to linger at the corner of her lips.

A gasp escaped the new mother, who covered her mouth in fear. "Is she..." Her voice was a whisper. "Elven?"

Murmurs filled the room, but were quickly silenced by Inalm's gaze, and she intoned, "She is Elven, Ath'lael..."

She paused as an eastern breeze danced through an open window, bringing a faint tinkling of Fae giggling. A ray of sunlight poured onto the floor, Hodierna's gentle caress. Ath'lael stared at Inalm in tranquil wonderment. "Her spirit is full of laughter, and so she will be called Briga... of the Eastern Wind." The ancient namer brushed the baby's cheek, her grin widening, as she handed her to Ath'lael. "Briga Ear'Lorn ru Ath'lael, welcome to Ael Lyth."

The child known as Laughter grew to embrace the Bardic arts, and was trained and nurtured by Wind Clan's chief bard, Thasai. When the time came for her to expand her knowledge of Elanthian music and lore, she left her kin to seek the famed Bardess Silvyrfrost in the city of the Crossing. She now works with her brother Selthanos to share Elven culture and lore with all Elanthians.
