Chetaralor

Hmmmm so you want to know a little about the kitty, huh? Well first of all, I am only a mere mouse catcher for a Prydaen. Those of you from the other races would perceive me as "young" I suppose. Like most Prydaens, I am actually a refugee. Not long ago, my kind was driven from our homeland by our own ancestors that had risen from the dead. They hunted us down like prey, as were the wolf like Rakash. We were driven west until we came upon a town known as Crossing. There were so many people! Prydaen's are an independent race, totally unlike the Rakash and their "pack" so the sheer number of people overwhelmed me.

Penniless and alone I stumbled around the town for days unsure what to do. It was by sheer chance that I came across a minstrel practicing his trade on a quiet side street where I had stopped to rest my feet. His song was cut short however as he began to yell at a young elf for pick-pocketing him. Knowing my natural dexterity, my fingers seemed to have a life of their own and reached into the minstrel's pocket.... only to be promptly arrested. As I was dragged off to the jailhouse I wondered how I could have fallen into such a state. But my luck was soon to change. The very elf that had been "investigating" the minstrel's pockets was still awaiting trial. He was young and attractive, for an elf. As I was thrown literally at his feet he chuckled a bit and offered to lecture me a little on stealing since I obviously was a novice at it. During the course of our lesson I learned that he was a warrior mage, but had always fancied the Shadow Guild, hence his pick-pocketing past time.

The mention of the thief's guild, or Shadow Guild as Phlinx called it, intrigued me and once released from prison I immediately set out to become a member of the guild myself. I am sure my mother would be rolling over in her grave at my choice of professions (assuming of course she had stayed in her grave to begin with, which is doubtful), but I felt that perhaps the shadow guild was the best profession to make use of my natural abilities. Besides, I had hardly had any luck feeding and clothing myself up to this point. It took my quite some time to find the hidden guild, but eventually I was successful and became a novice thief. My natural agility came in handy and I was able to become a passable practitioner of the thief's arts rather quickly.

As I rose up in the ranks, my warrior mage friend gradually become less a friend and more of a suitor. Not long after I was titled, Phlinx and I were bonded through the rose. Now, as I said before, Prydaens are independent for the most part, but Phlinx has a large family and they soon discovered that he was wed. His mother, a wonderful empath named Tammrae, in particular took a fancy to her new daughter in law. She had recently lost a daughter to  the starry road and her passing had broken her heart. I suppose a new daughter in the family eased the pain somewhat, but for whatever the reason I suddenly had a warm and affectionate family as well as a new husband. Perhaps Damaris was watching over me that day in the square, or maybe it was just luck, but whatever the reason, this kitty is a refugee no more.
