Jarle Shannarrah

Jarle Shannarrah was an orphan as a child. He made his way around Crossing as a commoner until he ran into Tallis. Tallis took him in, named him and helped him join the Cleric guild. Jarle not used to being around people at first was very shy and not too talkative. Though after a while, he met his best friend Berky Denteal. Berky was a higher circle cleric and showed Jarle the ropes. Jarle soon became a friendly and extremely helpful guy.

Though Jarle didn't have any loving parents to rely on if anything bad happened. He faired well enough, although he wasn't exactly the best hunter. He died many times as he was young but each time he was brought back to life by the favor of the gods. He vowed that sooner or later he would become a great fighter and be able to hold his own in battle. Soon he started to become a more skilled fighter but never quite as powerful as he wished to be.

As he became higher circle in the guild, he helped around the lower circle clerics and was very kind. Even though a cleric he spent most of his time around corpses and so his smell isn't all that pleasant some times. As Jarle got older he made many friends with many clerics despite his odor. Though he never forgot his best friend, though his friend was cursed by a mage who changed his appearance to that of a Moon Mage and warped his mind so he now thought his name was Zusas Tamanien. Among these was Bargin, who later became a Mentor. When Jarle heard about the mentors he decided that it would be a good idea for him to join. He decided that as a mentor he could best serve the community even better than saving lives as he was doing, this way he could prevent lives from dying by helping the young and impressionable commoners to find the right path to follow.

When Jarle talked with Bargin the mentors were just starting out. Not so long after that a destruction crazed mage named Mibgluc. Jarle took up arms and went in search of this mage. Many people were searching for him, most found him in Sicle Grove and a great battle ensued. Many lives were lost and Jarle stopped fighting to help those that had died. He gave many people back their memories, though hundreds died he could only help a few. He tried his best and in doing so found how much good he could do. Mibgluc ran away and into a volcano. Jarle vowed to himself that sometime he would go back there and get even with the mage that had caused so much destruction.

After the Great Migration that ensued he trained his hardest and was given the greatest gift a Cleric can ever receive, he was granted the right to resurrect the dead. He became even more helpful with this newfound ability and raised anyone he could favorless or otherwise. Those who were without favor he showed them where to get them after they were alive again. He became a great help to anyone he could, and in doing so became a good friend to many. Not so long after this he became a mentor and was able to help people even more by being able to send runners out to tell people where he would be if they need to ask any questions.

Unfortunately, for some unknown reason Jarle disappeared, and wasn't heard from for a long while. Unknowing of what had befallen Jarle the mentors removed him from their lists and thought him gone for good. Though after a while he popped back up suddenly, and was greeted by Viani, a Great Mage. She told Jarle that if he wanted to rejoin the ranks of the mentors he could, but he would have to be re-inducted. He decided he would like to rejoin the mentors so Viani told him to look for Great Mage Auriane.

Before he found Auriane, Jarle decided to go out on the quest to get even with Mibgluc. His friend Zusas went too, along with a fellow cleric named Lonelyte, and a few others. They made it into the Volcano and ran into many puzzles and obstacles, when finally they made it into a hidden room in a furnace Jarle was the first in, then Zusas and Franco. One of them saw a winch and started turning it after a long time they heard a scream as Mibgluc fell into the Volcano and was burned alive. Not so long after that, Jarle met with Auriane was re-inducted into the mentors again. Once again happily and helping people get used to Elanthia.

"If life were easy I wouldn't have to be resurrecting you now would I?"
