Kathlen
Kathlen smiles softly as she sits in the grass and motions
for you to join her.
"Well 'ello!" she says brightly. "I'm so happy you've stopped by to
visit."
Kathlen brushes a golden lock of hair away from her face.
"You wish to know about me?" she inquires. "Well then, make yourself
comfortable, it's quite a tale."
Kathlen lays back onto the grass and gazes at the sky, seemingly lost in her thoughts..
"Well, from what I've been told, my parents both lived in Shard. My father, Saurun,
is a wonderful Warrior Mage. My mother, Sharna, was a lovely Bardess." Kathlen wipes
a tear from her eye before she continues.. "I was born during the Gorbesh War. My
father tried to get my mother safely to Theren - she was pregnant with me at the time -
but he was left on the southern side of the gondola. Srela, the healer in Theren, always
told me my father had died fighting bravely in the war. Srela raised me from the moment I
was born. She taught me the ways of healing and of alchemy.
Kathlen sighs.
"At the age of fifteen I left Theren to find my way to Crossing, to find more formal
training as an Empath. Srela gave me a small package before I left, which held my mothers
toe bells and hair beads. I never take them off."
"I love to travel, which is how I found my husband Zook." Kathlen
absent-mindedly brushes a finger across her wedding ring. "I was off wandering the
island of Surlaenis and I brought him back to Crossing with me. We've adopted two
wonderful sons." Kathlen smiles brightly. "Also during my time in Crossing, I've
found my father. I was always told he had died fighting bravely in the Gorbesh war. After
all these years, I've finally found him! Can you imagine!? He says I remind him of my
mother..." Kathlen sighs gently.
Kathlen gets up from where she was laying, brushes a few pieces of grass from her skirt..
"Well, it was lovely sharing time with you, but I really must be going. Feel free to
find me in Crossing when ever you'd like."
Kathlen gives you a warm smile before strolling down a path and away from sight. |
