Myralena

I suppose I should introduce myself, I am Myralena. I am a young, Elven Moon Mage. I’ve lived in Elanthia for 45 years, born in Leth Deriel to two wonderful Elven parents. My father, Gelen Hedwick was somewhat on the other side of the law. That didn’t keep my Empath mother, Maelgwen Ametheon from marrying him. I grew up in a loving home which came crashing at a young age, my father was murdered by one of his many enemies. He wasn’t a horrible person, but his profession caused him to make enemies along the way, so there it was mother was
left to raised me alone without Dad around. Though she was Empath, she just couldn’t earn enough. So Mother packed us up and we traveled to Theren. My mother was never one to just stay in one place so she left me with my Godparents, a lovely Prydaen couple. Mother traveled to Shard to help over there, while over there we got word that she was attacked and later passed away. So there I was being raised by my godparents. They wanted me to be a Bard. I wanted to be like my mother and be an Empath. Unfortunately though I had no empathic gift, I was
always drawn to the sky. I was always gazing up and trying to learn more
of the skies and constellations.

One day my godparents introduced me to their friends Seraphael and his wife. Seraphael was a Moon Mage. I didn’t know much about them; other then they studied the sky. So I asked him questions and from that day on Seraphael tutored me in the ways of Astrology. Seraphael was like a big brother to me and kept me company, as well as helped me with my studies. One day I came home from studying and my godparents announced that I was to be married to a young Bard. I was not ready for marriage especially to someone I did not know, and I had not
decided what I wanted to do. My guardians were determined I would be a Bard. The skies were calling to me, suddenly one evening I was studying the sky with Seraphael and the most extraordinary thing happened. My mind and vision began to cloud and in my mind were these images they hurt my head and I screamed out. Seraphael explained observations can lead to visions of the future. He said most people did not get visions unless they were trained in the ways of being a Moon Mage. This was my sign; this was what I was meant to do. So I packed up my things. Telling only Seraphael, who by then was my best friend and knew that
I didn’t the arranged marriage that I was going to travel to Crossing and find out more about being a Moon Mage. Seraphael told me to talk to Kssarh at the Crossing Guild.

I set off from Theren to Crossing, when I had a disturbing vision of a skull. I was stunned and rendered unconscious. When awoke I was in an apartment, sitting by my side was a lovely human woman. She introduced herself as Aesea. She explained to me she found me on the Northern Trade Route unconscious. I thanked her for helping me, but I didn’t want to tell her why I was unconscious or anything. I asked her the way to the nearest Inn. Alone and scared in a town I had never been in, I finally found my way to the Moon Mage Guild. I had a talk with Kssarh and decided that this was my calling. After I was finished talking to the guild leader, I ran into Seraphael. He took me around and helped me out a great deal. I had finally found my destiny, what I wanted, longed for. I trained non stop. I later ran into the kind Aesea, she was a Moon Mage as well. She was distressed so I sat and talked with her. She adopted me shortly after and remarried. Leihr,
her husband, adopted me as well. They were so kind and caring.

One day in front of the Moon Mage guild, I met someone who was eventually going to be one of my best friends, and later my husband. Rihaun was standing there observing the sky. He was handsome and funny. We became fast friends and he befriended all my family and friends. I had begun to make many friends living in Crossing as well as well as traveling around. Rihaun and I trained, traveled and laughed together. We eventually got married, and adopted a lovely human young lady named Ilisyana, who I had taken under my wing when she was young. It seems history repeats itself. I like to show kindness to others because of the countless kindness shown to me by Seraphael, my family, and my friends throughout my life. I continue to train hard, but learned that life isn’t always hard or full of heartache.
