Rakai HOW A MOON MAGE SUCCEEDED IN THE BARBARIAN GUILD
But alas, our poor Rakai mistakenly stumbled across the Moon Mage tower in
his drunken state, not knowing it. The next day after sobering up, he fled
the tower and found Agonar. After a rather stern lecture, Agonar reluctantly
permitted Rakai to join, but stated that he doubted a mage could succeed.
And so Rakai became a Barbarian, after being a Moon Mage for a day. Because
of his moon mage incident, Rakai promised to himself that he would not drink
again...And managed to hold himself to that standard, untill his best
friend's marriage.
You see, marriage has this effect on Rakai, to put it bluntly, it scares the
crap out of him. So to keep his mind off of marriage and commitment, Rakai
got drunk...and kicked out. Pretty bad considering he was the best man! As a
matter of fact, Rakai has a little streak going, he's managed to be kicked
out of all three weddings he has attended; personally I think he does it on
purpose, just so he can escape.
Anyway, moving on, at the young age of 19 Rakai earned the title of Warrior
in his guild, and to celebrate he marched southwards to the fair city of
Shard to challenge the Adan'f. Well...that didn't turn out too well, but
Rakai did escape with at least one of his arms. Luckily he was rescued by a
great warrior, by the name of Hartblest.
Not too much further down the road came a great discovery, that of the
island of Ratha! Well, Rakai set off on the long ship ride with a couple
friends and came to be one of the first from the mainlands on the Island.
He had a lot of good times the next few days with his friends, like hunting
down scorpions, and being hunted by Kra'Hei in the sewers.
Rakai even managed to get turned into a frog! After a long while of debate,
his friend decided to kiss the frog to bring Rakai back, but made Rakai
promise not to tell anyone about it, so this is just between me and you.
Rakai was making such good progress, buying lots of new weapons to play with,
when all of a sudden...the Void! Alas, he was warped back in time somehow to
the mainland city of the Crossing. He lost all of his newly bought
possessions, and a newly gained rank in his guild, but he did keep the
memories at least.
It wasn't too long after this that Rakai found his new true home, Mer'Kresh.
Fighting peccary on the small island and passing his time peacefully, Rakai
gained skill. At the young age of just 25 years, Rakai became a titled
WeaponMaster in his chosen profession, proving Agonar wrong, that yes, a Moon
Mage could switch careers and become a great Warrior. |
