A brief history of Ranger Ruckgnor Dra'agan.

It is a sad tale indeed the tale of Ruckgnor's upbringing. He was found sometime around the age of 13 living with a large pack of wolves. He has no recollection of how he came to live with the wolves, he had lived with the pack for as long as he could remember and could recall nothing of his human parents.

{It turns out that his parents (a failing young trader for a father and a devote cleric for a mother) were killed in a early morning Ogre raid on their camp when Ruckgnor was about a year old. The wolf pack came near the gutted out camp and could smell and hear the whining of a young human child. Curious, they approached the camp and found the young child. The pack mother took pity on the human child and welcomed him to the pack. She cared for him and raised him as her own cub.}

Adjusting back into the 'human' race was a slow process.
     ...It is just natural for wolf to mark his territory by scenting it....

Ruckgnor naturally decided to join the Ranger Guild. The Ranger Guild is one of the most challenging Guilds to advance in, knowing this, he put forth a great effort, not to advance, but to be the best Ranger he could be. When the guild leader told him about raccoon companions, he quickly went out to find his own companion. Many years later, he had earned the chance to find a wolf. He went back to near where he was found with the pack and waited. Once again his determination, diligence, and patience paid off. The descendants of 'his' pack came into the clearing. His pack mother's grandpup was now the matriarch; she gladly left a young pup in Ruckgnor's care.

Ruckgnor raised his wolf, trying desperately to find a method to preserve meat, but he has been unsuccessful thus far. Ruckgnor lives in the wild lands feeling most at home in the untamed forests away from the hustle and bustle of the city and the more complicated life. In the forest it is survival of the fittest in a literal sense, every day is a constant challenge. This is what drives him, the challenge.

Ruckgnor has grown into a fine adult Ranger {not an elder but definitely no youngin either} who is always striving to lead by example. He is always setting new goals for himself, both short term and long. Soon it will be Hunter.....eventually.....if the gods are merciful.....Guardian.
