Veii

A cloaked figure stands alone in a dark room, lit by a single candle. A parchment scroll in her hand reads:

~~~
Dearest Veii,
I hope this finds you well. I only write to you because I know no other way to contact you. Your guardians seem quite adamant in keeping travelers from the grounds. I do not wish to frighten you, but I must admit I have been observing you.
I was traveling through the town a few farms from where you call home, on my way east to another city. Night crept upon me as I was taking in the customs at the local inn, and I decided to stay until the morning.
As I woke to the muted sunlight through the faded curtains, it took me a moment to realize where I was; then I heard laughter from the streets below. Curious, I looked out the window to see you and those whom, I now assume, were other peasant girls making your way from the fruit stand across the street to the inn where I was staying. I quickly made my way downstairs to find you and your company already enjoying yourselves at the table.
I vividly remember how you gently brushed the hair from your incredibly stunning hazel-green eyes. You held your posture in a manner rarely seen in a peasant girl. You are also quite the charmer, as I observed when you spoke with the barkeep, and later learned more from the townspeople. A diamond in the rough. I can see the fire that burns in your eye; that you were destined for more than just living on a farm, taking orders from your human masters.
I do not write this to refresh your memory of the past, nor was it my intent to remind you of your current situation, but to invite you to pursue a better future, with me. When you receive this, it will be my third and final night in this area. I stayed two extra days thinking of how to convince you to come, but from what I have seen, I doubt you need much convincing.
I offer you my care and knowledge of my trade, in return I ask for your trust and dedication. One anlas after sunrise, I will be making my departure.
She blows out the candle, stows the parchment scroll in her cloak, and heads out the door into the dew-covered fields and approaching sunlight.
