The Mentor Society of GemStone IV organizes and hosts a wide variety of in-game events including games, tours, festivals, story telling and instructional sessions. Watch the GemStone Events Calendar, type NEWS in the game, or ring the doorbell at any manor and ask a Mentor for details on upcoming events.
See the Guides section for rules to some of the most popular games and events.
Some Monthly Events Include:
Lexicon
The lexicon is a game for new players that involves gameplay similar to "Simon Says", in that you attempt to do what the hosting Mentor does. For details see the rules here.
Lorekeeper Says
This is an advanced version of the Lexicon, with a difference being the hosting Lorekeeper will describe an action instead of performing it, which you must then try to perform. Only the first try counts, so think carefully!
Town Tours
Join the mentors in specific towns for a friendly tour of common stores, landmarks and gathering spots. Learn what purposes these places may hold and some history of the town while having fun in the process.
Rummage Sales
Specifically designed for those new to a town, the rummage sale allows you the opportunity to select items from the stock of donations the Order recieves. We ask not for payment in silvers, though some sort of artistic exchange is required in the form of poem, tall tale or joke.
Profession Meet & Greets
Want to find new friends of your profession? Want to ask some questions of an elder, or apprentice them? Want to eat some good food, share some good laughs, and maybe learn a little something in the process? Then a Meet and Greet is for you.
Profession Hunts
Occasionally Silverwood Manor will lead hunts to various areas around a town with a specific profession in mind. These are generally meant for novices, however all are welcome to participate.
