The view to the east is an astounding picture in blues and greens.  Small patches of land piled
with lush vegetation bely the muted color of the desert to the south as plant-life fights for land
around the crisscrossing tributaries of the Nile.  Far east past the vista of the winding blue water
cutting through puzzle-like islands and shores stand the majestic pyramids.  Several dot the
horizon, one far to the south is still being constructed with its unfinished base promising to be
the largest yet.  You also see a royal guard, a royal guard, a royal priest, a large altar and a small
pedestal with a small gold filigree box on it.

>The barge slowly cruises down to the road and is poled over to a small beachy area.  A large
group of palace servants march out into the water and heft the barge onto their shoudlers by
means of dozens of wooden poles attached to its sides.

>The servants then slowly walk the entire barge along the end of the procession, setting it down
in the clearing and then slowly backing away with their heads bowed.

>The priest bows to Cleopatra and offers her a wedding contract stating, "By acceptance of this
contract you are legally wed and we may start the celebrations!"

flitting lightly down to rest on her hip, wings outspread in glorious color, where it returns to
dozing.

>Cleopatra begins to reach for the contract...

>A messenger quickly runs in and exclaims, "She Who Is, don't!  He is lying!"

>Autolycus's eye twitches... he chances a nervous glance at Cleopatra.
>Niklos frowns.
>You say, "ut oh"
>Lilibeth gasps!
>Heartsong blinks.
>Vaftel glances at a messenger.
>Dearcy sighs.

>A royal priest rubs his chin.

>Cleopatra stands still with her back to the commotion.  Suddenly she swivels around with a
look of rage on her face, "Fool!  We knew this!"

>Cleopatra exclaims, "Guards, arrest him!  Arrest them all!"

>The guards quickly close off the area so that nobody may escape.

She begins running in circles, irrationally shrieking, and flailing her arms about in the air!

>Lilibeth exclaims, "but where!"

>With a smirk at the motionless Autolycus, Cleopatra claps her hands and makes a royal exit.
"King of THEBES, indeed."  The servants quickly pick up the barge and walk it out of sight.

>Arlene says, "we are all in trouble.."
>Niklos says, "darnit."
>Lilibeth sobs.
>Zaynah sniffles.
>Niklos says, "I wanted some cake."
>Lilibeth asks, "did they kill him?"

>A nervous chatter and a checking of purses suddenly preoccupies the guest's attention.  Various
exclamations over the whereabouts of coins and jewelry

>The guard sheepishly says, "Wait... no, it's still here."
>Lilibeth sways back and forth.
>Dearcy touches a platinum and diamond wedding ring.
>Niklos says, "its in the box"
>Tedra asks, "you'd think because I don't have my precious I don't come prepared?"
>Lilibeth says, "I think.. I'm gonna faint"

>Leanna says, "Uh."

>Inside the gold filigree box you see a very large pearl.

>You hear the priest gasp, "But the Royal Wedding Altar has been defiled!  He's taken the Frieze
of Isis!"

>A servant nearby gasps in horror, "She Who Is had just put two most valuable emeralds into
that frieze!  I'll be beaten within an inch of my life!"  The servant scurries off hurriedly.

>The land rolls out before you in an interesting series of layers, each represented by a strip of
conflicting terrain.  From narrow dirt road it moves on to a verdant green forest of palms which
then flows into the swiftly moving waters of the Nile River.  Past the Nile is another strip of
green scrub tied off by a ribbon of rolling desert dunes.  The spires of far away Cairo jut out on
the horizon of the dunes, dwarfed by the massive pyramids beyond.

>People rush out of the way and carts pull to the verge of the road to Alexandria as the temple
guard leads you bodily toward the city gates.

>News apparently travels faster than feet judging from the crowd of onlookers gathered to watch
you being escorted to prison.

Large buildings flanked more often than not by larger statues loom over and almost seem to be
passing judgement.  So much for a jury of your peers... though you are getting plenty of peers
from nearly everyone you pass.

continues leading you to your final destination.

>[Alexandria Prison, Cell Room]
Whoever said four walls don't a prison make was correct, you also need a floor and a ceiling.
Add to that a lack of windows, steel-reinforced stone and a door that Hercules couldn't budge
and you've gotten just about as close to making a prison as one can.  A small bench in the corner
provides the only respite, its hard wooden surface lined with a woven reed mat so it can do
double duty as a bed.  The rest of the decor is done in a very classy monotone brick design... very
Inquisition Contemporary.  You also see a heavy door.

The hustle and bustle of the city lies far below and the horizon is just visible over the tall walls
surrounding Alexandria.  Judging from the sprawl of buildings and snaking wall, one might
guess they were in the northeast quadrant of the city, very near the docks.  One would be right
too.  The only viable means of travel seems to be another building across a small alley to the
north.

Another roof of another building remarkably like the roof you just jumped from.  Guards have
started raising the alarm and poking their heads out of the prison windows a few streets over
making backtracking a bad plan.  A tall building lies to the east, not quite within jumping
distance... but there is a small balcony on a lower floor you could probably make.

Now just a story off the street below, you find yourself on a small balcony with no apparent
exits.  Odd to have a balcony with no doorway to access it, but since when are you an engineer
anyway?  Perhaps it's just for looks... in fact, judging from the way its crumbling and shaking
beneath your feet... yeah, it wasn't meant to be stood on.  At least the alley below isn't too far,
and that pile of trash looks kind of soft.

looks nearly as tall as its neighbor to the north, though it has no false balconies to give lingering
thieves on roof any false hopes.

northern face.  Perhaps a double jump from your position on the roof lies the northern wall of

nothing to jump off of and all.  But my, does that palm look tall... and springy too!  You also see
a palm tree and a tall palm.

The wall is a lot wider than it looks from below, but there's a reason for that.  If it weren't wide
then the guards couldn't patrol it.  After putting this complex thought process together, one might
wish the wall were just a bit thinner.  A locked guard house, in fact, blocks access further west
along the wall.  Probably a good idea to go the other way in a hurry.

Nothing much has changed between this section of wall and the previous, the view is still
relatively the same and the wall is defenitely the same.  There is, however, a small patch where
the brickwork has been replaced in recent years that doesn't quite match the rest of the wall.  The
dockyards below are teeming with activity, a lot of which seems to be of the "Have you seen this
person?" persuasion.
