Mathuna says, "As you know spells are going through the post combat revamp to get them functional."
>
Mathuna says, "and if I stop talking and Twylight isn't I probably lost my connection again and will be back."
>
Mathuna says, "we also have ideas we are working on for casting spells without a relic or temple."
>
Mathuna says, "as well as better and more sensable impudence."
>
Mathuna says, "and ways to manage it for you."
>
Gloomthryn mutters something under his breath.

Twylight says, "We are of course working on new spells"
>
Twylight says, "different types of spells rather than the same old spell with different sparlkies"
>
Mathuna says, "exactly, that was my next point, Twylight has a couple of them bouncing around in QC."
>
Mathuna grins at Twylight.
>
Twylight grins at Mathuna.
>
Mathuna says, "and we want to fill out the rest of the list up to 30th as well as add another set of spells for you."
>
Palus beams at Mathuna!
>
Einok says, "ohh good deal"
>
Steelstar just arrived.
>
Einok nods.
>
Steelstar smiles.
>
Silvershadow asks, "this si the part where I cheer correct?"
>
Mathuna says, "we are looking at spells that you can go on quests to gain, that are tied to specific dieties."
>
Einok gets an impish expression on his face, and lets out a hearty cheer.
>
Jaide raises her hand.
>
Celeo says, "yay"
>
Jaide asks, "Do we have to belong or worship said deity to participate?"
>
Einok asks, "what about those without Dieties?"
>
Twylight says, "they wouldn' be like the previous priest quests thogh"

Mathuna says, "those will be seperate from the regular spell lists."
>
Silvershadow pouts at Twylight.
>
Steelstar just arrived followed by Riane.
>
Steelstar disbands his group.
>
Riane sits down.
>
Mathuna says, "no, you will not need to."

Twylight says, "You will be able to gain all of them eventually"
>
Twylight says, "but it will take you some time"
>
Twylight says, "they wont be 20 minute quests"
>
Mathuna nods.
>
Gloomthryn pouts.
>
Einok asks, "May I bring up something about minions?"
>
Palus asks, "But what will these spells do?"
>
Twylight says, "and before any of the non priests here start worrying I have already thought of ways to make these quests fun for other professions as well"
>
Mathuna says, "after questions are open."
>
Twylight says, "thats a surprise"
>
Mathuna grins at Einok.
>
Twylight winks at Palus
>
Einok says, "ahh okay"
>
Einok babbles incoherently.
>
Palus grins at Twylight.
>
Einok nods to Mathuna.
>
Twylight says, "but they will take some thought to make them work to thier fullest potential"
>
Gloomthryn smiles at Twylight.
>
Celeo says, "neat"
>
Palus asks, "Will this be done before or after rellocation?"
>
Mathuna says, "of after definatly."
>
Twylight says, "I am working on some prop items for those of you who enjoy performing ceremonies and processions"

Einok removes an ornamental ambrosia goblet from his backpack.
>
Riane says, "that's is great"
>
Twylight says, "basically fluff but priesty fluff"
>
Einok gazes at his goblet.
>
Riane raises her hand.
>
Einok puts an ornamental ambrosia goblet in a large backpack.

Celeo smiles.
>
Riane asks, "can we have incense too?"
>
Palus grins at Jherle.
>
Riane says, "so we can burn it anywhere"
>
Einok grins.
>
says, "so we can burn it anywhere"
>
Einok grins.
>
Jaide asks, "Oh please make a ceremonial wand?"
>
Jaide gazes hopefully at Twylight.
>
Twylight says, "there will be all types of ceremonial props"
>
Twylight nods to Jaide.
>
Riane asks, "including incense?"
>
Twylight says, "robes, wands, chalices"
>
Riane grins at Twylight.
>
Palus says, "Since this will be after"
>
Mathuna takes the lid off the question box. Use ASK to submit a question.
>
Jaide asks, "Oh will we be able to forage for pine boughs and such?"
>
Mathuna says, "please put your questions in the box."
>
Twylight says, "Incense is a seperate thing"
>
Mathuna says, "and we will handle them in that order."
>
Celeo says, "ok"
>
Riane nods to Mathuna.
>
Mathuna says, "since people are behavinging well, we won't quiet the room."

Mathuna takes the lid off the question box. Use ASK to submit a question.
>
Blackcloud says, "it's still closed"
>
Riane nods to Blackcloud.
>
Mathuna peers at the box
>
Palus says, "Because the floor is open"
>
Mathuna says, "ah, "
>
Palus grins at Mathuna.
>
Mathuna calls the assembly to order. After a moment the crowd quiets down.
>
Mathuna says, "ok, now ask your questions."

Mathuna says, "Blackcloud asks, 'will we see a change to fists of steel so that it increases the damage when you use brawling?'"
>
Mathuna nods to Blackcloud, who stands up to address the assembly.
>
Mathuna says, "It should be boosting your brawling skill some, and acting as a brawling weapon."
>
Blackcloud says, "ok"
>
Mathuna says, "though Quantum has not fully implemented brawling weapons."
>
Blackcloud nods.
>
Having finished addressing the assembly Blackcloud sits back down.

Mathuna nods to Palus, who stands up to address the assembly.
>
Palus says, "smil"
>
Palus babbles incoherently.
>
Palus smiles.
>
Mathuna says, "basically we are working to get all current spells functional under the new combat system."
>
Mathuna says, "some have issues."
>
Palus nods to Mathuna.
>
Palus asks, "So no?"
>
Palus says, "I was hoping something cool would come that would keep me from changing professions"
>
Palus smiles at Mathuna.
>
Mathuna says, "No, we do have spell 1021 in QC and it should be out before then."
>
Twylight says, "some of the things we've discussed are very simple like the ceremonial props"
>
Palus raises an eyebrow in Mathuna's direction.
>
Twylight says, "other like the quests require us to create whole areas with scripts, critters, etc...so they do take longer"
>
Mathuna says, "but there are no majore planned releases before reallocation."
>
Palus nods.
>
Palus asks, "Which will be when?"
>
Palus gazes hopefully at Mathuna.

Mathuna says, "as soon as we can."
>
Palus blinks at Mathuna.
>
Palus nods.
>
Suddenly the black dragon about Mathuna's neck blinks its eyes and wakes, sliding downward to loop around his waist, but not before batting him on the nose with its tail!
>
Mathuna says, "but I would suggest not rerolling before reallocation, you will likley regret it."
>
Mathuna grins.
>
Palus exclaims, "Oh!"
>
Palus exclaims, "I know!"
>
Mathuna says, "if you want to switch wait for reallocation."
>
Palus grins at Mathuna.
>
Mathuna says, "there will be some major changes to umm, everything not just priests then."
>
Palus says, "well, I was just thinking that everything new would come out before"
>
Mathuna says, "but I am hoping that reallocation will include the ability to cast outside of a temple without a relic."
>
Palus says, "So people could try everything out and make a decision"
>
Palus nods to Mathuna.
>
Mathuna says, "we also have another commanality spell that is waiting for the trainer to learn it."
>
Having finished addressing the assembly Palus sits back down.
>
Mathuna nods to Jaide, who stands up to address the assembly.
>
Jaide says, "Hello"
>
Jaide says, "With the addition of new cermonial items will we also be able to forage new items such as pine boughs? I am trying to follow the shinto ways as a priestess and require natural items for cermonies and such."
>
Mathuna says, "certainly pine boughs are something that could be added to the foraging system."
>
Mathuna says, "but its not explicitly tied to new items."
>
Twylight says, "there will likely be some additions to foragables with a separate system i've been planning for a while"
>
Mathuna says, "just asking on the boards is a good way to ask for foragable things. But no more foragable whiskey glasses."
>
Twylight says, "but as to what items there are alot of them"
>
Jaide says, "No whiskey glasses are not allowed by the religion."
>
Jaide grins at Mathuna.
>
Twylight grins.

Jaide says, "Nice thought though,"
>
Jaide asks, "I did have another question about Babylons golden rule?"
>
Mathuna nods to Jaide.
>
Jaide asks, "Are there any plans to fix the lack of fish in the game considering the numerous fish dishes that are not considered fish for offering?"
>
Twylight nods to Jaide.
>
Jaide says, "If someone was to wait for 20 pieces of smoked fish in treasure they would be 100."
>
Twylight says, "thats easily fixable"
>
Mathuna says, "yes, babylon's golden rule has actually been assigned to an assistant of mine to fix."
>
Twylight says, "I thought we had already addressed it"
>
Twylight furrows her brow.
>
Mathuna says, "it umm, is nice, but doesn't do enough for the difficulty of finding fish for it."
>
Jaide says, "Well I purchased Cod the other day"
>
Twylight nods.
>
Jaide says, "Systems does not consider cod a fish"
>
Jaide says, "Which I am unsure of what cod is if it is not a fish."
>
Jaide says, "Thank you for your time."
>
Mathuna bows.
>
Jaide bows to Mathuna.
>
Jaide bows to Twylight.
>
Twylight curtsies to Jaide.
>
Having finished addressing the assembly Jaide sits back down.
>
Mathuna nods to Riane, who stands up to address the assembly.
>
Mathuna says, "it seems a reasonable thing to improve."
>
Mathuna says, "and can be looked into, I haven't actually looked before to see why it only works in temples."
>
Riane nods to Mathuna.

Mathuna says, "Riane asks, 'Can we have the ability to buy and burn incense anywhere, like with candles? Also, can we have diffent scents, preferably smells specific to each god'"

Mathuna says, "sorry, I hadn't realized you where not seeing the questions."
>
You jot down your question on a card and stick it in the question box. Yours is #6 and reads: "Will we ever have BACKROOM items in the priest shops?"
>
Twylight says, "Im working on a system of incense making that will allow you to create your own, in the meantime it may be possible to put some in some of the priest shops"
>
Riane nods to Twylight.
>
Twylight says, "well actually anyone with enough skill will be able to create it"
>
Riane says, "that would be great"
>
Mathuna says, "I wondered why Twylight wasn't jumping in there on the questions."
>
Mathuna grins at Twylight.

Mathuna says, "it is something I knew she was looking at."
>
Twylight chuckles.
>
Riane asks, "wha skills would be that?"
>
Riane grins at Twylight.
>
Twylight says, "it would be varied actually"

Riane nods to Twylight.
>
Twylight holds up one finger.
>
Riane nods to Twylight.
>
Twylight says, "making incense would involve foraging the herbs, grinding them into powder, mixing them with the base forming them into the shapes, blessing them etc"

Mathuna nods to Twylight.
>
Twylight says, "so the different steps will have different skill requirements"
>
Twylight says, "however I am making this with priest in mind specifically"

Twylight says, "so I am taking the skills of priest into consideration"

Riane says, "I also had another question. I was hoping we could actually perform some actions like cleaning the temple, or asking people for donations. These actions could be used to lower impudence. It would add to our roleplay. We could also use self-flagelation for those self-sacrificing priests..."
>
Twylight says, "heavy consideration"
>
Riane nods to Twylight.
>
Riane grins.
>
Gloomthryn squints momentarily.
>
Twylight says, "well we have been considering new issues with impudence"
>
Riane nods to Twylight.
>
Twylight says, "with the changes the we would like to make to spell casting there will need to be some new ways of decreasing impudence"
>
Twylight says, "but as to how its not been determined yet"
>
Riane nods to Twylight.
>
Mathuna says, "yes that sort of thing is part of what we want to use as impudence control."
>
Riane says, "One last thought on that."
>
Twylight nods to Riane.
>
Mathuna says, "the current make four offerings and poof your impudence is clear, has to go."
>
Mathuna grins.
>
>Riane says, "Being a priest is a solitary profession, all that spell casting is done in a temple and alone.. Which is fine, but if we make lowering impudence based on social actions, it could be a great way to roleplay."
>
Riane grins at Mathuna.
>
Riane grins at Twylight.

Twylight nods to Riane.
>
Twylight says, "we'll keep that in mind"
>
Mathuna says, "yes, and that is also why we are looking at ways to allow you to cast spells in magic, as well as rework impudence from the ground up."
>
Riane says, "We would need specific actions, but it could be done. Like donating things to other people, like newbies.."
>
Riane clears her throat.

Twylight grins at Riane.
>
Riane says, "sorry, I meant new comers"

Riane says, "that was all I had."
>
Riane bows.
>
Mathuna says, "Silvershadow asks, 'Are there currently any plans to create or rework at least one spell to effect dodging? for those priests that might want to wear little armor but be able to have the choice.'"
>
Mathuna nods to Silvershadow, who stands up to address the assembly.
>
Silvershadow says, "I had noticed that in some instances we priests tended to not be wearing armor, for events and such."
>
Silvershadow says, "and personally I dislike being beaten up in a robe"
>
Silvershadow giggles.
>
Mathuna says, "both skin of iron and mantle of rightousness directly boost your dodging skill enogh to cover for them."
>
Silvershadow asks, "thought that boosted athletics?"
>
Silvershadow says, "as I did not notice a dodging boost."
>
Mathuna says, "ah wait, your right."
>
Mathuna says, "you want the athletics boost."
>
Silvershadow says, "not if im wearing only a robe"
>
Mathuna says, "it seems likely that either a diety spell, or one of the 30 unreleased spells will do that."
>
Silvershadow nods to Mathuna.
>
Silvershadow says, "works for me."
>
Silvershadow smiles.
>
Mathuna says, "and its possible that one of the existing spells that doesn't work well could be replaced with such a spell, but I would rather fix the weaker spell than replace them if possible."
>
Silvershadow nods to Mathuna.
>
Silvershadow says, "if it werent for the lack of physicality with most priests, id of wondered why we had two spells that did the same thing."
>
Gloomthryn grows visibly calmer.
>
Silvershadow nods to Mathuna.
>
Mathuna nods.
>
Silvershadow says, "I have a small hoarde of other questions, but there be others waiting for their own to be answered. "
>
Mathuna grins.
>
Silvershadow says, "thank you."
>
Silvershadow smiles.
>
Mathuna says, "ok, just put it in the box, if it closes, we will reopen it."
>
Having finished addressing the assembly Silvershadow sits back down.
>
Mathuna says, "Einok asks, 'Personally I plan to have a companion like a bear to summon if needed. To enhance my RPing experience... But something I've noticed is we can't pet them or interact with them other then telling them to attack, leave, follow, or stay. Personally I'd like to see more actions we could do WITH them and more commands we could give them... Such as petting our minions or so on.'"
>
Mathuna nods to Einok, who stands up to address the assembly.
>
Einok bows.
>
Einok grins.

Mathuna says, "yes that is part of the planned next rewrite of minions."
>
Natolie grows visibly calmer.
>
Einok nods.
>
Mathuna says, "now that they funcion better than they did, they still need yet another rewrite."
>
Einok says, "Good deal. It just kinda looks weird if I have a bear companion and I can't get close to him"
>
Mathuna says, "and at that time they will be getting interactive verbs."
>
Einok grins.
>
Mathuna nods to Einok.
>
Einok ponders.
>
Einok says, "I think that was my only question"
>
Einok nods.
>
Mathuna says, "I agree, its a shame that they are so standoffish."
>
Mathuna nods.
>
Einok nods.
>
Having finished addressing the assembly Einok sits back down.
>
Mathuna nods to Celeo, who stands up to address the assembly.
>
Mathuna says, "Celeo asks, 'Uhh I have a question ... If you do switch profeesions with the realloction thing will it take the skills you learned prevously and have to start over? oh sorry not a priestly question is it? sorry just curious dont kill me..'"

>Mathuna says, "actually I can answer that."
>
Mathuna chuckles.
>
Mathuna says, "but only in general details right this second."
>
Mathuna says, "full details will be posted to the boards for your reading."
>
Celeo says, "ok"
>
Mathuna says, "when you reallocate, you will be reset to zero skills and your stats will be set to the base default."
>
Mathuna says, "you will then be able to spend your points back up to your level."
>
Celeo says, "ok I wont be changing then..."
>
Celeo asks, "I do have another queston though if thats ok?"
>
Mathuna nods.
>
Celeo says, "And I am slow so it may take a while"
>
Celeo says, "ok I wont be changing then..."
>
Celeo asks, "I do have another queston though if thats ok?"
>
Mathuna nods.
>
Celeo says, "And I am slow so it may take a while"
>
Celeo says, "Ok well its about a not yet released spell..."
>
Mathuna nods to Celeo.
>
Mathuna says, "long question I see."
>
Mathuna teases Celeo.
>
Celeo says, "I am not really sure if there has been any changes or not but I thought I read something about an upcomming spell that you could teleport to the temple or shrine of your deity.. What if your not aligned with one? I have known some to have no god or goddess.. Also maybe perhaps you could make it so the priest could go to a certain "landmark' tooo and oh and make sure if you do do this spell amke sure priests and or anyone else who might have the spell on them not to be able to use it to get out of hades maybe have a message saying you cant do that thats cheating! or something like that"
>
Mathuna says, "the spell is on the tentative list for the level 21 to 30 spells."
>
Celeo says, "sorry about that"
>
Mathuna says, "but since we will be reworking both the spell list, I don't like some of the proposed ones, and the descriptions it is subject to change."
>
Twylight nods.
>
Twylight says, "or subject to being thrown out like a bunch of garbage"
>
Twylight nods.
>
Mathuna grins at Twylight.
>
Twylight twiddles her thumbs.
>
Mathuna says, "I do know that that spell will be different than desribed there, how different I'm not sure, but the no diety people will be kept in mind."
>
Celeo says, "I was really curious about that"
>
Mathuna nods.
>
Celeo says, "so its a surprise when it does come out"
>
The dragon around Mathuna's ankle slithers up his leg and wraps itself contentedly about his waist.
>
Mathuna says, "since how people are associated with dieties will be changing, its not as good of a method of working it."
>
Mathuna nods.
>
Having finished addressing the assembly Celeo sits back down.
>
Mathuna says, "Blackcloud asks, 'can we get the forage list like alchemists have?'"
>
Mathuna nods to Blackcloud, who stands up to address the assembly.
>
Mathuna says, "Yes."
>
Blackcloud says, "good"
>
Mathuna asks, "next question?"
>
Blackcloud says, "that's it for now"
>
Mathuna grins.

Having finished addressing the assembly Blackcloud sits back down.
>
Twylight holds up one finger.
>
Mathuna asks, "Twylight you want to speak on that?"
>
You ask, "Hmm..soon?"

>Mathuna grins at Twylight.
>
You duck your head.
>
Twylight says, "Many of the priest cerimonial items will be backroom stuff"
>
You grin at Twylight.
>
Mathuna says, "I do agree, and dislike when you work hard for backroom access and a shop has nothing there."
>
Twylight says, "and they will be worth getting backroom access for"
>
Mathuna says, "so yes we will be making certain there are items in the backrooms of priest shops."

You say, "Ok, I'm putting in a request for Baselius to get some new merchandise. The poor man has been telling me about new items for over a year now."
>
Mathuna grins at you.

You chuckle.

You say, "Thanks."

Having finished addressing the assembly you sit back down.

Mathuna says, "Jaide asks, 'I notice that alchemists are able to make larger amounts of items Is there something in the works for us priests to be able to make more spells in one shot such a spell circle to fill a relic?'"

Mathuna nods to Jaide, who stands up to address the assembly.
>
Mathuna chuckles.
>
Twylight grins at Mathuna.
>
Jaide gets a silly grin on her face.
>
Mathuna says, "I like all of these questions with one work answers of yes."
>
Mathuna grins.
>
Jaide asks, "With a spell circle what is your idea of what that would require?"
>
Twylight nods to Mathuna.
>
Jaide asks, "More than one preist?"
>
Twylight says, "this ones all yers Mathuna"
>
Mathuna says, "its part of something we are thinking of for reallocation, and until the documentation on that is published, I don't really want to get into the details of it."
>
Jaide says, "And would it be based of their ideal skill set say if I focus on mental and someone else focuses on alterations"
>
Jaide says, "Okay."
>
Jaide sighs.
>
Mathuna says, "but when it is available, it will work much like batch does for alchemists."
>
Jaide says, "So single user"
>
Mathuna nods to Jaide.
>
Jaide says, "Thank you."

Jaide bows to Mathuna.
>
Jaide bows to Twylight.
>
Twylight curtsies to Jaide.
>
Mathuna says, "but yes, lots of Gamemasters detest the current relic filling mechanics."
>
Twylight nods.
>
Twylight nods.
>
Twylight nods.
>
Twylight nods.
>
Twylight twiddles her thumbs.
>
Mathuna says, "including your guru's."

Jaide grins at Mathuna.
>
Jaide says, "Good to hear/"
>
Having finished addressing the assembly Jaide sits back down.
>
Mathuna says, "Gloomthryn asks, 'so if you will no longer need to make relics at the temple will clearing your impudence be a way for priests to make experiance out of combat?'"
>
Mathuna nods to Gloomthryn, who stands up to address the assembly.
>
Gloomthryn says, "or rather what will be replacing non combat experiance for priests if anything, any ideas? just curious"
>
Gloomthryn says, "ahh"
>
Mathuna says, "it is even likely that post reallocation there will be more of a market for some of them."

Mathuna says, "but priests will not have to use them."
>
Gloomthryn nods.
>
ng out impudence all together? I mean, for example, the Rogue profession can set as
many traps as they want in one room, but do they get tired, or have a gigantic hand come
from the sky and sqaush them? for something that takes so long to do, as in to fill a relic,
we are downgraded by impudence.'"
>
Mathuna nods to Palus, who stands up to address the assembly.
>
Palus nods to Mathuna.
>
Mathuna says, "the entire impudence system is on the drawing board to be revised."
>
Mathuna says, "it will never go away though."
>
Palus asks, "How so?"

Mathuna says, "well for one thing, current impudence is based only on the spell level."
>
Palus says, "What could you do to it to make it fair for priests compared to other professions"
>
Mathuna says, "spells should generate impudence based on other factors not that."
>
Mathuna says, "think of impudence as a form of mana."
>
Palus asks, "Mana?"
>
Mathuna says, "it is there to restrict you somewhat from endless casting of a spell."
>
Mathuna says, "as it is now it isn't well designed."

Mathuna says, "and the high level spells generate huge amounts of it versus the low level spells, but don't give corrosponding increases in power."
>
Palus says, "But rogues are not stoped by something to endless amounts of traps set"

Mathuna says, "mana is umm, magical energy."
>
Mathuna says, "think of it as a limited amount of power you can draw on in a specific time."
>
Mathuna says, "traps are not nearly as flexable as magic."
>
Mathuna says, "and have other limitations on their use."
>
Palus grins at Natolie.
>
Palus nods to Mathuna.
>
Palus says, "To my knowledge, priests have not got anything new for a long time, at least a year"
>
Palus says, "Other than changes in the spells"
>
Palus says, "That had to happen, because they were useless in new combat"
>
Twylight says, "which considering the state of spells before the fixes is a thing in itself"

Twylight asks, "when the spell lists originally change...what a year ago?"
>
Twylight peers quizzically at Mathuna.
>
Twylight asks, "two years?"
>
Twylight furrows her brow.
>
Twylight says, "most of them were broken"
>
Mathuna says, "two years I think."
>
Twylight says, "didn't work"
>
Palus blinks at Mathuna.
>
Mathuna nods.
Twylight says, "didn't work well"
>
Twylight says, "were in fact useless"
>
Palus says, "Some of them are now"
>
Palus nods to Twylight.
>
Twylight says, "now most of them work, work well and are useful"
>
Palus says, "And some that were not before, are nwo"
>
Palus says, "Now"
>
Palus says, "Including webs"
>
Mathuna says, "those that don't are being reworked."
>
Twylight says, "and they work the way they should"
>
Mathuna says, "actually webs work quiet well as is."
>
Mathuna says, "they do exactly what they should be doing."
>
Palus nods.
>
Palus ponders.
>
Palus says, "Relics take SOOOOOOOO long to fill, specially if you need to meditate, or do anything else, like spend dinar on a cape for every cast. Rogues do not have to do anything like that, and can do more damamge, they do not have to get a new trap everytime it is used, like we have to get new spells. all they have to do is set it."
>
Palus asks, "Will having to spend dinar on spells change at all?"
>
Palus says, "Capes are not all the easy to find"
>
Twylight says, "Rogues do not get as much experience from setting traps as priests can potentially get from filling a relic"
>
Palus says, "Unless you want to spend money at a store on them"
>

the minions we do currently have can be called by decision. Basically, im asking if it would be possible to CHOOSE a siberian tiger, black bear, etcetera. Since they are in truth magical constructs, perhaps a command could be allowed that allows you to SHIFT said critter similar to tapping a warhand, until you got the critter you wanted. Would be nice for snakes too since maybe it would allow for choosing between constricting and poisoning types.'"

Gabit peers quizzically at Twylight.

A priest can fill relics as long as they have relics to fill. This isn't apples and oranges. This is Apples and celery."
>
Mathuna calls on you to stand up and address the assembly, so you rise to speak.

Mathuna says, "not currently, but again its a great idea."

You say, "It's me again."

Mathuna nods to Silvershadow, who stands up to address the assembly.

Silvershadow says, "or magically summoned armor as a spell."

Silvershadow says, "basically."

Silvershadow says, "either works for me."

Silvershadow nods.

Twylight says, "Magically summoned armor is already a spell"

Twylight says, "Mantle and Skin of Iron"

Silvershadow says, "one is artsy craftsy, the other is a slot stealer."

Twylight scratches her head.

Mathuna asks, "more things along the lines of skin of iron and mantle of rightousness?"
>
Silvershadow says, "not like that."
>
Silvershadow grins at Twylight.
>
Silvershadow says, "more like a divinely granted breastplate of spiritual energy."
>
Mathuna says, "the problem is that the hinderence of armor is directly tied to how good it is."
>
Silvershadow says, "or helm or whatever."
>
Twylight says, "ah so armor armor"
>
Twylight says, "but magic armor armo"
>
Silvershadow says, "maybe that could just be the dodging spell."
>
Silvershadow cackles!
>
Mathuna says, "which is why mantle and skin profide skill to balance them."
>
Mathuna ponders.

Mathuna says, "now armor that cut certain types of damage might be doable."
>
Silvershadow nods.
>
Silvershadow says, "same thing really, as to what I was thinking."
>
Mathuna grins.
>
Silvershadow asks, "something that decreases the effect of say crushing attacks against you?"

Mathuna says, "the answer is maybe."
>
Silvershadow says, "or piercing, holy, whatever."

Silvershadow nods to Mathuna.

Mathuna says, "its awaiting certain things in the combat system to make it easier to work with before such even can be implemented."

Silvershadow nods to Mathuna.

Silvershadow ponders.

Silvershadow asks, "still pondering things to do with bless besides jewelery?"

Mathuna chuckles.

Mathuna says, "yes."
>
Mathuna's dragon charm coils up off his left arm and drapes its body across his back, from shoulder to shoulder.
>
Mathuna says, "bless needs more, umm, oomph."
>
Silvershadow says, "perhaps if that were one of the things, blessing armor to increase its ability."
>
With a resolved look, Mathuna waves a graceful hand over the face of Silvershadow while speaking, "Let the blessing of Athena be upon you."
>
Silvershadow says, "might still effect encumberance, but the athletics spells help a good deal."
>
Twylight asks, "kinda like balancing you mean?"
>
Silvershadow says, "so priests could be all glowy and such. oooh lookit me im mystical"
>
Silvershadow says, "sorta thing."
>
Mathuna chuckles at Silvershadow.
>
Twylight asks, "but with a magical twist?"
>
Silvershadow says, "maybe, except instead of lowering critter tht for being smacked, they cant smack ya as well."
>
Silvershadow nods to Twylight.
>
Twylight nods to Silvershadow.
>
Silvershadow says, "basically just anything nifty to do with sorta glowing armor type thingies."
>
Mathuna says, "making of magic items is on the development list."
>
Mathuna says, "how soon I don't know."
>
Silvershadow nods to Mathuna.
>
Silvershadow asks, "so crafting magical armor, might be doable?"
>
Mathuna says, "and certainly magical armors can stay on the list."
>
Mathuna nods to Silvershadow.
>
Silvershadow says, "as an artifact sorta thing."
>
Mathuna says, "yes, as I said, its a definate maybe."
>
Silvershadow nods to Mathuna.
>
Silvershadow says, "ooh, see silver cheering"

Silvershadow gets a silly grin on his face.
>
Mathuna chuckles.
>
Mathuna says, "thank you for the suggestion Silvershadow."
>
Mathuna grins.
>
Silvershadow says, "welp, ive bothered folks enough this time round and im sure others are antsy to ask all kinds of useful questions about impudence."
>
Silvershadow giggles.
>
Having finished addressing the assembly Silvershadow sits back down.

Mathuna says, "Jaide asks, 'With the previous mention of the release of the gods, What does that actually mean to a working priest? Besides the obvious spread sheet learning of what we would learn naturally compared to what we are going to have to activly train in to get the same results?'"
>
Mathuna nods to Jaide, who stands up to address the assembly.
>
Jaide says, "Hello again."
>
Mathuna says, "hmm, well, the gods are not going to effect your training at all."
>
Jaide says, "They do now"
>
Mathuna nods.
>
Mathuna says, "I konw, but with reallocation they no longer will."
>
Jaide asks, "Meaning what does that mean to a working priest?"
>
Astraea nods.
>
Jaide says, "There are things that have never been though about no less worried about training in with the skill sets currently"
>
Jaide says, "With no god bonuses now"
>
Mathuna says, "mainly it means we are taking the dieties and trying to make them more something to RP with, you can certainly align yourself with one of them, but that will not be giving you extra skill points when you go to train."
>
Jaide says, "So the extras we get now we will not get anymore of"
>
Mathuna nods.
>
Mathuna says, "correct. but we are looking to give some benefit to following a diety."
>
Jaide asks, "Explain to me please how that is better?"
>
Mathuna says, "because it allows us as gamemasters to actually balance systems."
>
Jaide says, "Great for gamemasters."
>
Jaide gets a silly grin on her face.
>
Mathuna says, "right now you have 5 professions, 3 races, and 15 dieties all changing how people learn."
>
Astraea says, "Its a matter of game balance. Some dieties really weren't too useful others gave bonues to everything."
>
Mathuna nods.
>
Mathuna says, "my first character followed Pan."
>
Jaide says, "As players. Splain it to me like I am slow."
>
Jaide says, "Which I am."
>
Mathuna says, "but the bonus' pan give suck."
>
Jaide nods to Mathuna.
>
Mathuna says, "so he rerolled and followed Zeus."
>
Jaide nods.
>
Mathuna says, "I would rather have had him follow pan, but for an effective character I needed to follow a different diety."
>
Jaide says, "So according to what you just said all of those bonuses are out the window and now just an rp choice."
>
Mathuna says, "right now if a player makes a poor choice of diety in the character manager, it can ruin them , and they might not realize it uniil higher level."
>
Mathuna says, "we will be adding something for each diety, but it won't effect your skill gain."
>
Jaide asks, "So what makes a difference if I follow Vania under your new system or say I follow Zeus?"
>
Astraea says, "right now most of the people on are aligned with athena 12 hermes 8 apollo 8 and artemis 7 Zeus 4 Demeter 3 Pan 3 Aphrodite 1 Hepheastus 3.... The rest of the gods 0."
>
Astraea says, "This gives you an idea of what the useful gods are that all the rest are ignored."
>
Jaide says, "Well when you look at the numbers of course."
>
Astraea says, "The point is that there are a handful of gods chosen for skill selection rather than roll play."
>
Astraea says, "Er role play."
>
Jaide says, "No you had it right"

Jaide says, "We Roll play to Role play"
>
Astraea says, "They were selected for rolls rather than roles."
>
Mathuna says, "yes, most dieties are solely selected because of how they boost your characters skill, not because its the one the player wants to follow."
>
Mathuna says, "we want people to choose the diety more for roleplay, and this might, I say might open up Ares, Here, Hades, Dionysus, and others for worship."
>
Astraea says, "We would rather make your skills up to you, rather than your selection of your god."
>
Mathuna nods to Astraea.
>
Mathuna says, "following a diety should not be for what it gets you."
>
Jaide asks, "If the skills are up to us, and we are not to get the extra skills points when the bonuses are taken how does that become balanced for the player?"
>
Mathuna says, "well, the whole system of advancement and skills etc will change at the time of reallocation."
>
Jaide asks, "Or is it now a matter of over all game balance and blast the players for they will either come in line or find somewhere else?"
>
Mathuna says, "the questions your asking now its better to wait for the official documentation that will describe it with tables and numbers and everythnig."
>
Astraea says, "It will be balanced because this occur when everyone will redistribute their skills at that time. So no one will be at an advantage or disadvantage due to god choice."

Mathuna says, "but completely forget your current skill set."
>
Mathuna says, "/plvl priest"
>
Mathuna mutters something under his breath.
>
Twylight pokes Mathuna in the ribs.
>
Mathuna chuckles.
>
Jaide says, "Usually I have found with Simutronics that offical documentation comes to late for nothing else but to suck it up and go with it rather than having a say in what is happening considering it is my dollar that pays for the games."
>
Astraea asks, "And the question was?"
>
Mathuna says, "Jaide asks, 'With the previous mention of the release of the gods, What does that actually mean to a working priest? Besides the obvious spread sheet learning of what we would learn naturally compared to what we are going to have to activly train in to get the same results?'"
>
Jaide says, "Me being a working preist."
>
Jaide says, "God skills sets going out as well as the skills bonuses. "
>
Mathuna says, "correct."
>
Mathuna says, "it will all change, and we will talk about it then."
>
Jaide says, "Thank you."
>
Mathuna says, "right now enough hasn't been given out for you to know what we are doing."
>
Having finished addressing the assembly Jaide sits back down.

Palus asks, "please!?"

Palus grins.

Mathuna says, "next question."

Palus nods.

Palus gazes around at his surroundings.

Palus smiles.

Mathuna says, "that is one of the first things I want out of priests making magic items."

Palus beams!

Palus says, "I mean"
>
Palus says, "Not comparing or anything to be sarcastic or anything"
>
Palus says, "Like those alche rings"

Mathuna says, "well besides making carvings into relics."

Palus says, "Or war-rat"
>
Palus says, "war-weapon type deal"
>
Palus says, "Only uses magic"
>
Palus says, "Only it uses magic I mean"
>
Palus says, "Other than powder"
>
Mathuna says, "I've always intended for something along those lines, instead I made spirit strike work as it does now. so you don't need an item to get multiple shots from it."
>
Mathuna says, "but I still want to see a rod like that."
>
Palus says, "But I can do 4 times the damage with my daggers in one wswing"
>
Palus seems to be waiting for something.
>
Palus says, "I can do 225 at most with one dagger"

Palus says, "450 with my two"

Palus nods.

Mathuna says, "I've seen spirit strike do more than that."
>
Palus says, "Not at my circle"
>
Mathuna grins.
>
Mathuna says, "at your circle"
>
Palus says, "At most I can do 415"
>
Palus says, "But my weapon damage goes up each circle more than my spirit strike damgage"
>
Palus says, "And I think my most right now with Spririt strike is 315"
>
Mathuna says, "then your training your weapon well."
>
Palus asks, "Spririt Strike is still circle based, am I right?"
>
Mathuna says, "I see other questions so debate about the power of spirit strike might be better on the boards."
>
Mathuna says, "no, its skill based."
>
Palus says, "But you do not always get a responce on the boards"
>
Palus smiles at Mathuna.
>
Palus babbles incoherently.
>
Palus raises an eyebrow.
>
Mathuna says, "I do always read them."

Mathuna says, "and spirit strike purely is skill based."

You see a small spider crawl across the floor.

Mathuna gestures toward Astraea. Mathuna's spell washes across Astraea without effect.

Palus says, "I did not say you did not read them"

Mathuna grins.

Mathuna says, "ok, onwards."

Palus says, "I just said you do not always reply to gripes"

Mathuna says, "Silvershadow asks, 'In those next 30 spells to be released is there anychance of there being created a spell for summoning flying critters, an all purpose if it flies kinda spell, critters from the tiniest baby bee, up past the most ancient of winged serpents, gryphons, legendary flying dinguses. Or perhaps a spell to summon equine, ranging from the tiniest pony to the most majestic unicorn/kirin/kilin...::non-equine..rhinocerous, elephant, crocodile, war-hog, trained tortoise with opposable
thumbs.'"

Mathuna nods to Silvershadow, who stands up to address the assembly.

Silvershadow says, "and for the record I am also disappointed with spirit strike, since i've only done over a 1000 damage five or six times this week."

can train in to help?"
>
Twylight asks, "as I said there are critters that have a natural resistance to magic, so they
are harder for priests yes?"

Mathuna says, "yes."
>
Mathuna grins at Gerett.

Gerett nods to Mathuna.

Gerett turns toward Twylight.

Silvershadow says, "one of the spells that was on the old list for new spells was one for
zombie animation. I was wondering if that one could be considered for doing, only have
it be random undead critters, or chosen specifically, ranging from boney skeleton, past
death knights, and beyond into liches::mythology type, not D&D perversion type, and
vampiric types for the goldenmane type elderly."

Twylight raises an eyebrow in Gerett's direction.

Silvershadow pants.

[Council House, Assembly Room]

The high ceiling is coffer-paneled in oak, polished to such a high gleam that it reflects
back light from any source. Grey-green tapestries hang from brass poles set at intervals
along the white walls. Floor standing candleholders bear thick, yellowed candles that
gleam softly, casting a golden glow over the room. A bright light shines down upon the
podium at the front of the room.
Also here: GameMaster Twylight, and the citizens of Athens.
Obvious exits: out.
>
Gerett says, "Snakes, and cats, and bears, and acolytes, and zombies, and liche's and
vampires. Makes for one hades of a party. Literally in the case of the last three."
>
Silvershadow nods to Gerett.
>
Silvershadow exclaims, "you said it!"
>
A small black dragon slithers up from Mathuna's wrist and transfers itself to his neck,
looping itself in graceful coils before falling back to sleep.

Twylight ponders.

Nightonicus says, "no, just the summoner will do"

and windows"
>
Silvershadow nods.
>
Silvershadow says, "snakes peter out at thirty though, unless you web a critter last I heard
though. Acolyte might stay useful but to be honest mine is rather crude and likes to tell
me where to stick it. while wandering off for a drink."

Gerett cackles!

downward to loop around her waist, but not before batting her on the nose with its tail!

Silvershadow says, "well would give us SOMETHING to do with holy water."
>
Gloomthryn says, "we can still make a stake"
>

Mathuna quickly draws the outline of an archway in the air. Surprisingly the archway
begins to glow blue-green and then he swiftly walks through the arch and disappears.
The archway then begins to flicker and then fades out.

Celeo grows indistinct. Slowly it dawns on you that he isn't there anymore.

A silvery star floats from above and settles in Twylight's hand. It twinkles slightly as
Twylight tosses it up in the air once again. Waving her arms with a flourishing curtsy,
she slowly dissolves into a silver and gold mixture of sunbeams, moonbeams and
starlight.
>
Gerett sucks in a deep breath.
>
Natolie says, "beheading also works"
>
Natolie grins at Gloomthryn.
>
Natolie says, "Beheading works on lots of things."

Gloomthryn says, "heh, we could just hit em with sun-infused water"
