General Information
- The object of the game is to drag the Umpire to the selected goal.
- All players need a socra stone and should work as part of a 4-6 person team.
- The first team to get the Umpire to the their goal wins!
- The Mentor may add a player(s) to your team to balance the teams, when necessary.
- The two goals for the race will be announced at the start of the game.
- The Mentor will have the course marked with Mentor Marbles so you will know exactly where to go.
- At the Umpire's signal, team members attempt to "steal" the Umpire and DRAG them to their goal.
- Only the areas marked with Mentor Marbles can be used for the game.
- The Umpire will watch to make sure the rules are being followed and can announce on the socra stones who has them, etc.
- The Mentor running the Game will be able to adapt the rules to solve any immediate problems.
Things To Do
- You and your team will have 10 minutes to walk the course and plan strategy before the start of the race.
- Players do whatever they can to steal the Umpire themselves.
- Strategy is the key here. A possible strategy would be to place team members along the course to try to intercept/steal the Umpire.
- Players can go back and forth along the course, try to wait in the side streets, and basically do anything they can to lose the other players.
- Players can only move one room into the side streets.
- You can drag an opposite team's player away from the Umpire or drag the player who currently has the Umpire.
- If the goal is a structure of some sort, players must drag the Umpire inside to complete the race successfully (i.e. the stables, a bank, council house, etc.).
Things Not To Do
- Team members leaving the course or otherwise breaking the rules will be eliminated and the game will be stopped and restarted from the last legal move.
- Stores, shops, and buildings can't be used to lose other players.
- Players aren't allowed to stalk, hide, use their befriend list, or "Thought Vision" to locate the player who has the Umpire or the Umpire.
- Since dragging of other players is allowed, you can't use the "avoid dragging" setting.
- Players also can't "dance" with the Umpire or use any other verbs that would cause the Umpire to become part of their group.
