On Wednesday we went to see the Queen. More precisely, we went to see the changing of the guard. Unfortunately, the ceremony wasn't until the following day. (During the summer they do it daily, during the winter they do it every other day. We thought we had the right day, but we were wrong.)

We did get our chance to look at Buckingham Palace and the surrounding area. Here are Paul and David standing in a gateway near Buckingham Palace. The statue of Queen Victoria is in the background. Below is a close-up of the Queen, and a not-so-close-up of Paul and David.

You'll note that in the post card picture, the sky is much bluer than we had in real life. The day was cold and somewhat rainy, but as long as you had a warm coat, it was fine.
