Cooper Stories
It’s been a while since I’ve added to Cooper’s page, and in fact I feel sort of bad about that.
OK, I’m over it now, but thought I should give Cooper “fans” some things to read.
Cooper definitely has a mind of his own. Overall this isn’t a bad thing, but sometimes it can create “difficulties.” He very much enjoys the “Run away from Dad” game when it’s time to go somewhere. He knows he’s going to get caught, but he plays it anyway. We can just hear him saying, “Can’t catch me Dad!”
He is great pals with our current feline resident, Pixel. They have been spotted together on the couch with all eight legs in the air, totally zoned out.

Pixel was really annoyed at us at first for letting Cooper into her house, but
quickly decided that she could have lots of fun with him. She is an almost constant tormenter. She plays “Peek and Run,” will just come up
to him and climb on him, and in general just makes herself a pain.
Cooper and Pixel interact frequently at suppertime. When it’s time for Cooper to eat, both he and Pixel come running into the kitchen to make sure I actually put dog food in his bowl. When I set it on the floor, Pixel pokes her head under Cooper and gets “slobberhead.” (Cooper drools a lot at dinner.)
Cooper has some similarities to two of my other dogs. He’s a very good “chick magnet,” just like Otto. He seems to attract the most attractive women in the area. How he does this is a mystery, but we’re not really complaining.
He’s also very much like Shiner. Both dogs are very smart, and Cooper has some of Shiner’s calm qualities.
After nearly a year and a half of working together, we’ve become a very good working team.
