My Brother At His Best

For years my youngest brother Darin has threatened me with bodily harm regarding the picture you see below. He’s spent hours of his life since this picture was taken trying to destroy all copies and negatives, but to no avail. He’s said more than once that if this picture ever appeared on the web anywhere I’d be a dead human. Well, since he’s probably never gonna come visit, I think I’m pretty safe.

So, here it is, for all the planet to see, my brother Darin, at one of his finest moments.

Now the story behind this lovely picture.

While I was spending a lot of time in the hospital, my grandmother was good enough to come down and watch my younger brothers Dan and Darin. I think when this picture was taken he was about 4 years old. He was playing around with a 5 gallon bucket, and managed to somehow get his butt stuck all the way down to the bottom of the bucket. (see picture above)

Now, my grandma was not one to pass such an opportunity up, so rather than rescue my little brother from his predicament, she ran and got the camera and took this now famous picture. Needless to say Darin was not very happy about having his picture taken while his butt is bucket bound.

Darin is now a police officer in a town in Washington state, and I bet if he stops you to give you a ticket and you say, “Hey, are you Bucket Boy?” you might get out of the ticket. Be aware that he has threatened jailtime to anyone who does this, but it would still be funny.
