The wooden base is quite ordinary, even plain. It's what hovers above the base that is the work of art. Held aloft by shifting currents of wind, blue and green colored sands form the image of a blue rose upon a green stem. The shifting currents cause the petals and leaves of the windsculpted rose to furl and unfurl, simulating night and day.
