When the Bardess Siryn was attempting to reform the Bard Guild so long after its destruction by the Dragon Priests, she visited the city of the Crossing with her apprentice Silvyrfrost. Unfortunately, they were followed by the Dragon Priests attempting to crush out the last remnants of the Bardic Guild. The High Priest, Tenebraus, killed Siryn and destroyed her cutlass, and he was in turn killed. However, the spirits of Siryn and Tenebraus survived to continue their battle. The songs of the Bardic hopefuls released the power necessary to destroy the spirit of Tenebraus, and Siryn went to her rest. The cutlass remains in the Crossing as a symbol of the Guild's past.
