Location: Zoluren, First Realm Government: Leth Deriel is governed by Mayoress Lindryl Jinsaith, a Rissan Elf. She was once wed to Ralel Maleiron, and is currently engaged to a Human smuggler named Kiernen Allvar. The government of Leth Deriel is situated in the giant Sana'ati Dyaus Drui'tas. Places of Interest: Sana'ati Dyaus Drui'tas, Izma Ru'ef University, Ankis Dir Observatory, Oracle Hollow. Primary Sources of Income: Trade Physical Layout: Leth Deriel is a symmetrical city built in a diamond around the Sana'ati. The city a forest, with most homes and shops being built in the trees above the ground. Leth Deriel has four gates. The Alder Bower and E'erdream Bower Gates lead to Bosque Deriel and the Northern Trade Road, while the Deobar Bower Gate leads to Esouvar Deriel and the Southern Trade Route. The Durmast Bower Gate leads to the Ankis Dir Observatory, situated just outside the town. Two villages exist on the outskirts of Leth Deriel, Bosque Deriel to the north, and Esouvar Deriel to the south. Culture: Leth Deriel is the city of the Forest Elves, a freespirited, numerous, and undisciplined people. The citizens of Leth Deriel have close ties to Ilithi in the south, and Mer'Kresh in the east.
History: Leth Deriel was built more than 6,000 years ago. Initially, it was just the Sana'ati Dyaus Drui'tas, which served as a fortress. The city, quite literally, grew up around it. The Forest Elves of Leth Deriel played a large role in the Elven- Human War, which was begun when a Forest Elf eloped with a Human. The city also shares a close link with the Rissan Elves of Mer'Kresh, which they have been trading with secretly for hundreds of years.
