Leynar was a Moon Mage that was enlisted to help the Dragon worshipper Ponlakh steal the Lute from the Crossing's sewers. When Ponlahk's nature was revealed, Leynar helped him escape by opening a Moon Gate which Ponlahk fled through.
Leynar, when threatened with death, was prepared to reveal all he knew, when he was killed by Snaer Hafwa. His body was then stolen.
