The Lute, as opposed to a lute, was an instrument of power possessed by both Faenella and Peri'el, among others. The Lute was used to keep in contact with the Bardess Wren after her kidnapping by the Gorbesh. It was held in a room of the Crossing sewers, which was sanctified by Faenella shortly before the Gorbesh siege of the city. The Lute was recently stolen by Ponlahk and Leynar.
