Location: Therengia

Government: Therenborough is ruled by the Baron Theren, a Paladin of Chadatru known throughout the Five Realms for his sense of justice. The House Theren has ruled Therengia since its formation about a thousand years ago. Supporting the Baron are two Houses, Hedeon and Thistlebriar, serving Botolf and Rutilor respectively, creating a balance in Therengian government. Torsten Hedeon controls the Barony's treasury, while Damerron Thistlebriar commands most of the military.

Physical Layout: The city has but one gate, and a main road leading to the dominating structure in Therenborough, the Keep of Theren, surrounded by a moat. On two hills flanking the Keep are the city's arena and theater.

History: House Theren was a powerful House in Imperial society, so when the Emperor wished to expand the borders, the military might of Theren was sent to tame the wild northlands. The Lord Theren constructed a Keep and the city of Therenborough from which to command the borderlands. Theren Keep sustained heavy damage when the Dragon Priests overran it during their conquest, and the Barons are still rebuilding to this day.
