What's Happened to Elanthia?

by By an old Warrior Mage

(Therengia: 106 Nissa 358)

A mysterious old Elf wanders out from the corner of the bar. "Baresh, I've been listening to everything that's been going on, I'm telling you that this is a crying shame. I've been a Warrior Mage in these lands for a long time and I couldn't be more disappointed with people. Thieves stealing from empaths? Clerics and Paladins graverobbing? Where has decency and integrity gone?"

The Elf glowers for a moment and continues "While I'm at it I'd like to say that most of the people should be ashamed of themselves. I've been around and these days people should be so lucky to have empaths and clerics available to help them. People nowadays expect healing from empaths and a raise from clerics. They should be so lucky! I'd love to see the clerics and empaths refuse each and every one of them! I remember when Clerics couldn't raise the dead, and there weren't many empaths, you had to pay the city healer and depart."

The Elf looks up at Baresh and shifts positions, "I guess I'd just like to see people more thankful to those that help them out instead of demanding a service that the empaths and clerics are kindly providing. People should take time to tip and thank them. Anyway, I've taken enough of your time, thanks for the use of your ear." The Elf walks out of the bar and what appears to be a fat cat trailing behind him.

Baresh will listen to your well-presented viewpoint on this, too.
