Submitted: 17 November 1999 Interesting Meeting by The unnamed one (Crossing, Zoluren: Moliko 359)A shadowy, elven figure walks briskly in the door. He takes a seat and takes a glance about the room making sure no one is paying much attention. "Hello Baresh." The elven figure puts a couple of coins on the counter. "Frostwynne please." Baresh looks dubiously at the figure and hands him a frostwynne. The figure takes a sip of the frostwynne and lets out a small sigh. "Well Baresh, it seems our incredible Mayor Scrimm has done it yet again. I was one of a very few that was actually at the meeting spot in the Ampitheatre in Crossing. However, Mayor Scrimm yet again failed to show for the meeting." The figure takes another sip. "I'd hate to say anything, the Mayor has eyes everywhere and he punishes those who even speak slightly against him harshly." The figures eyes dart around the room, surveying all the patrons. "Baresh, our Mayor took the position by taking a hostage. We have seen his plans to expand City Hall and to erect a monument to himself. There have even been rumors of his embezzlement of the funds that were supposed to go the rebuilding of the Longbow Bridge and the Temple. As a city we need to reconsider our officials, our government does not take us into consideration, nor even do we even have an opinion. Those who do have an opinion are arrested by the "concerned citizen" that usually stands by the bank. I think it is time for a change. If our situation does not change I think we should take matters into our own hands. Shall we live under this tyranny for the rest of our lives? I think it is also necessary to inform everyone of the state of our government. Lanival himself is probably turning over in his grave." The figure finishes his frostwynne and places another coin on the counter. "Thank you for your time Baresh, sorry about the little commentary, please spread the word that Mayor Scrimm failed to show again." With that the elven figure walks out the door, his cloak fluttering behind him. [Editor's Note: Since this time, we have discovered the note from the Mayor's office to be a forgery.]
