Submitted: 6 July 1999 That Was No Paladin by Portense Avoranthalg (Crossing, Zoluren: 139 Shorka 358)I know almost every paladin there is. I have been around a long time. I suspect that there is a case of mistaken identity in the recounting of the story about the guy who departed after he was told he had a glyph. (And then graverobbed because no glyph existed) You see, Novak poses as a paladin a lot and is a skilled member of, well, shall we just say, the Guild of Shadows. Someone could have pretended to trace a glyph of warding, and in the confusion, the culprits could then have continued to lie about it and told the dead person it was safe to depart. It sounds like the victim got the name misspelled in the heat of the moment. The whole paladin guild suffers at such news, even if it is someone posing as a paladin. I'm hoping that armed with information about how to verify that you've got a glyph when you have a doubt people can feel confident about paladins again.
Baresh will listen to your well-presented viewpoint on this, too.
