Submitted: 17 July 2000 Olvi/Dwarven Party Great Success! by Zincir Cloudbreak (Stone Clan, Zoluren: 45 Ka'len 362)A halfling cheerfully walks into the Tavern and climbs up the side of barstool. Baresh smiles at the Olvi, noticing the Trader's Guild crest on his backpack, and expecting a good tip. "How can I help you, sir?" Baresh asks. "Two warm berry tarts and a mug of hot coffee, please." Zincir says with a smile. "What? No ale?" Baresh chuckles as he sticks Zincir's tarts in the oven. Zincir chuckles back, "No, not today. I had more than enough to drink last night at the Stone Clan." He grins, "Of course, I had more than enough tarts, too, but we have to be reasonable, yes?" Baresh nods. "I heard about the event earlier this week, how did it go?" "It was fabulous! No doubt it was enjoyed by Olvi and Dwarven alike. I would say the Stone Clan Militia was glad to see the supplies and some good cheer, and we halflings always enjoy a good reason to party." Zincir pushes his spectacles up on the bridge of his nose. "I am very glad Thain Mykk and Hegemonic were able to organize this. With all the hard times Sorrow and his lot have been bringing, not to mention the new year's "Ride," I'm sure everyone was glad to have time just to have fun." Baresh nods and hands Zincir his tarts and coffee. He gratefully eats down a tart and takes a good gulp of coffee. "Oh, a word to the wise, though," Zincir adds with a wink, "If you should hear the word 'stomp' even whispered in a group of dwarves, either seek cover or play along. After all, better to stomp than be stomped. " The two share a good laugh and Zincir finishes his last tart. Zincir leaves a gold coin on the counter and heads out, humming something about a short brigade... |
