Seems that there has been some discussion over the Vreeland Pryde, and its oaths. Since it was I who instituted the oaths, and understand them better than anyone else, I would like to set a few matters straight. Ther are two oaths that I required from each new member in my time as leader there. First was not to take any side in the War with Sura, which means not to fight against him and certainly not to fight for him. The reason being is that at the time of the oath, his pryde was the only pryde with Kits being born at all. They have to live in the Reach and any fighting would endanger them. Since Prydaen do not war with their own kin, Darkensi asked oath of his friend Katslyn, and Since I though it a very honorable oath, I required that oath of the new kits. It is an oath to the pryde "about" our friend Darkensi. The second oath is to protect a certain young elvin lass who is an honorary member of pryde. This oath is an oath with Darkensi, for it was he who asked me to take her in and protect her. It has been a true labor of love. I shall not name her, since I wish her no cause for discomfort. And by the way, While I was leader... I had only one other rule, and that was to respect all others of and around the pryde. especially the Elders. So , there you have it. if it really matters at all, should anyone ask ya, well, ye have a better insight on this all, I hope. Humm Breaux P.s.
