Eastern Travelers?

Evening, Baresh...

I was reading through the news, and noticed you had a long story about a man called Farstrider(?) who says he is busy hunting undead to the East.

I'm curious about a couple of things, perhaps he or another patron can enlighten me. Indeed, in his discourse he mentioned most of us are clueless as to what is happening, and maybe these questions will label me as one such person.

But I simply have to ask... First of all, how is this brave man fighting undead if the Barrier still stands? Second, when did the Barrier and all the undead behind it move themselves from the West, to the East? Indeed, if it is in the East, does it run across the water as well as land? (which also makes me wonder, do undead swim?)

Also, as a matter of clarification, as far as I am aware, the Prydaen and Rakash come from the West, fleeing the undead, and the Kaldar and the Gnomes come from the South, refugees from the Gorbesh. So why am I continually seeing men and women of all these races swearing they're from every direction but those two?

Perhaps I'm wrong, maybe in the time since the refugees of these four new races arrived, my memory has been fuddled. Will anyone help me clear this up? And could Farstrider, this skilled mercenary, who seems saddened by the young's lack of knowledge, make sure he is not further confusing them?

And he speaks of the citizenry not doing anything, perhaps this is true, but maybe it is because they listened to him and walked into the sea trying to find undead...
