Submitted: 5 June 1999 Return of a Halfalin by Schtump Treepusha (Arthe Dale, Zoluren: 17 Akroeg 358)Perhaps not an entirely worthy news story, but definitely a bit of sentiment to those who know my father. The afore mentioned halfalin is in fact my father Guuy Smylie. His return is planned within two weeks of this date. The location is of course Arthe Dale, Zoluren, where else would a halfalin reside? For those of you who don't know my father too well, here's a bit of his history. Born in the second month of Ka'len in the year 331, Guuy is the only son of rangers Zaknufein and Amberyll, and grandson to Ravenquest. In all his years, Guuy never married, and believe you me that was not an easy task. To give you a small idea of his personality, he has attained many nicknames which still hold true today: Babble Monster, King Halberd, and Ranger Ninja Suicidal Super Moonie. Besides his infamous yellow uniform, and trade mark babble-greeting, his renown reaches far beyond the ranks of halfalins. Guuy is one of the few characters to receive a warm fuzzy feeling award from Guardian Mage Lelah for appropriate behavior (but I wouldn't ask her about it cause she tole me not to tell). Rumors used to say that Guuy had the highest halberd skill in all the realms, probably because it's such an unpopular weapon, but still quite an achievement. Well enough bragging and gloating about my father. He would like to send a *babble* to all his friends and neighbors. A reunion party is in the works for any who would like to attend, a date is not set yet, but hopefully shortly after his return. For more information please seek me out!
