They tried to envelop us,
To kill our song,
Make weak who were strong,
Dark snows of winter past.

They carried deadly wrath,
To steal our faith,
Make bleak our days,
Dark snows of winter past.

They turned our hopes to dust,
To bring disrepair,
Make the bravest despair,
Dark snows of winter past.

Dark snows of winter past,
They couldn't stand up to us,
To prayers and swords
That melted the worst,
Dark snows of winter past.
