Submitted: 13 March 2000 To The Rescue....Again by Naresha Zahra (Crossing, Zoluren: 335 Dolefaren 360)Baresh watched as the young Elothean woman walked up to the bar. "Naresha, I haven't seen you in quite some time. Can I get you a hot sasafrass tea?" 'Yes Baresh that would really hit the spot." Naresha answered with a smile. "I haven't seen Solrac since the night of the Traders Gala either," Baresha remarked as he served Naresha her tea "has he given up spiced rum"? At the mention of Solrac's name Naresha's green eyes seemed to twinkle and she gets the dreamy look of someone in love. With a mischievious grin Naresha said, "I think that someone is smuggling him death spirit grog from the empath sitting room. And it seems I keep him quite busy rescuing me from the field goblins." As Naresha sipped her tea she looked up at Baresh seriously. "That is how I first met Solrac, you know. My brother Chriztopher planned to meet me out from the west gate and I was waiting patiently when first one then two then three and maybe more field goblins attacked me." "Even as I tried to remember all the lessons Chriztopher had taught me about evading goblins I realized that I would soon be overpowered and maybe even killed if Chriz didn't get there soon. But as fate would have it a young dwarvian barbarian ventured by and when asked came to my rescue. He killed the goblins and assisted me out of the area." "Then yesterday I accompainied a friend of Dangar's out from the west gate. Galaxa is a moon mage who in her inexperience forgot to guard me as the field goblins swarmed into the area. As seven or eight goblins were attacking me I looked up and saw that same dwarvian barbarian now much stronger and a little older standing poised ready for battle. Yes, my hero is none other than Solrac." Naresha finishes her tea and lays coins on the counter to pay for the refreshment. As Baresh picks up the coins Naresha reaches out and gives Baresh's hand a quick squeeze. " I am very fortunate, Baresh, to have found that one person person who fills my heart with joy". The twinkle returned to those crystal green eyes as Naresha stood up to leave. 'I am sure Solrac will see you soon Baresh. I have it on good authority that he is finding drinking death spirit grog rather a pain to the rear."
