Submitted: 25 August 1997 A Meeting With A Legend by Saracus RoseMerry (Arthe Dale, Zoluren: Nissa 350)As a young Ranger, I had looked at the guild plauqe many times. I would dream of the day when i could place my name on the plaque, but knew I was beat by many older Rangers of the realms. On this particular winter day I was exploring around Arthe Dale (a long way away for a newbie Ranger) when I spied one of the Rangers on the plaque! Bewildered, I fell at this persons feet and almost started to worish them when they bopped me over the head and knocked some sense into me. This certain person taught me lots that day. As a skill, they taught me some escaping, and let me steal from them, and 13 ranks in stealing in one day (for a newbie) is quite well...and I was so proud, because that was my highest skill. Well, besides the survival skills that this person taught me, this person, an elder in my eyes, taught me how to be a friend. While I was in the presence of this person, they told me a few tales of their life, and I listened like a small child listening to their grandfather reciting a favorite story for the hundreth time. Yes, this person probably doesn't remember me, and has no recollection of the time and place, but I would like to thank this person for the friendship they gave me, when they had no idea who I was, and helped me get on my feet. This person's name is Starcatcher Fullmoon (forgive me if I have the last name wrong...for I am not sure her last name). But, I would like to say thank you, and keep up the good will towards others. Oh, and also, you and Snare have a good life together...I just missed the wedding by bout a minute too ::sighs:: anyway, you are a Hero to me, for I think that to be called a Hero you only need to hold out your hand to someone in need. Thank you to all that have helped me on my way to being a better person inside. With Love, Wayfarer Saracus RoseMerry |
