Rave Reviews for the Troupe of Deriel

I've just left the theatre after the scheduled performance of Sura's Surprise put on by those wonderful bards of the Troupe of Deriel. After show was over, I heard rumours that they may perform it again, so if you missed it this time, be sure to catch it then!

Tonight's performance was made by the regular members of the troupe, save one. The understudy who stepped in did a wonderful job - I found myself really believing that she was a drunken bard! ;)

There were very few rough spots on the part of the players, and most of those could be blamed on the weather, which was not being very helpful. The biggest disruption, sadly, was caused by an audience member who insisted on getting caught up in the action, at one point even jumping onto the stage and trying to defend one of the players from another... (I know this audience member's mother, and am quite sure she'd be mortified if she knew of his behaviour.) Happlily, despite this distraction all of the players stayed in character like real troupers, and played their parts like stars!
