New Game Rolling Into Town by Molark Gragoria (Crossing, Zoluren: 392 Nissa 363)"One mug of your best ale, Baresh," says an old human sitting at the end of the bar. "Sure thing, here ya go." Baresh pours a foaming mug of some Pint's ale and slides it down the bar. Halfway through its trip to the other end of the bar, the mug of ale disappears! "Eh?!" says the old man as his eyes widen. Soon, where the mug disappeared a pair of dice appears and begins rolling down towards the man. A human voice coming from somewhere in the room says, "Now's not the time for drinks! Not yet at least! A new game's in town, and now's the perfect time to check it out." The air around the stool near the centar of the bar begins to distort. All of a sudden, Molark is sitting on the center stool, shrouded with his poloh'izh cloak and drinking the mug of Pint's ale. Getting up from his stool, Molark throws some coins on the bar. How would you like to pit guild versus guild, showing off the special abilities of each, beat the competition and maybe even make a few plats and prizes in the process?! This new game, "Guild Wars", is a great new dice game that has come to Crossing. We guarantee you'll enjoy it. Empaths will be able to beat down Barbarians like they should be able to. Baresh chuckles. "Sounds fun. Where could I find out about this "Guild Wars"? "Well, just find me around Crossing and I'll send you a scroll of the rules of the game." Molark smiles. Or if you own a carrier pigeon or two... You could always AIM a pigeon at "provndr" or send an E-pigeon to jimlim@nycap.rr.com. "Also..." Molark begins chanting a small prayer and gestures in the air. A mug of Pint ale appears in his hand! Walking over to the old man he hands the mug to him. "I'll be able to provide free drinks." Molark winks. "Time for me to go." Molark begins tugging at his cloak and starts to grumble. "Well, I guess these things don't last forever...ah well. I guess I'll just leave the ol' fashioned way." Molark walks quickly out of the bar with what appears to be another drink in his right hand. "Hrm...he might be stealing my business, but I might have to look into this game...," Baresh says with a grin. |
