Rejj's Tome of the Gods

Meraud's Domain
Welcome to the domain of Meraud! Meraud is the god of foresight, magic, and the dark side of arcane arts. Meraud's face is seldom seen, as he appears in a large midnight black cloak which hides his appearance, to all those he visits. Meraud cherishes knowledge above all, it seems, and will do all that is necessary to gain a particular piece of knowledge, which he desires. The only time Meraud will stop a quest for knowledge is if he's made a promise that interferes with that quest. In such a case it is said that honorable Meraud will proceed to keep the promise. However, Meraud will find a way around such an obstacle, most times, to gain that which he desires.

Meraud is also held in high favor with the Elotheans due to his constant pursuit of knowledge and "aloofness" (The Immortals Chapter 1 Page 5). He is also the creator of written language, and the Elothean language is his greatest achievement. Needless to say, the Elotheans often gain favor with him because of this. Meraud's symbol is a wolf.

Firulf is Meraud's Light aspect. He is kinder than Meraud but not a push-over. His foresight has never failed, and is very often sought to gain favor with Elothean Moon Mages. Firulf has a powerful black staff, marbled in silver, from which Lightning Bolts erupt at his command. Those who touch his staff fall to be dust on the ground, unless he gives them express permission. Truth be told, he has given his staff to those to help them on a quest for knowledge, if he believes it to be interesting. Firulf's symbol is a grey horned owl.

Kerenhappuch is Meraud's Dark aspect. She is the "mad mage" (The Immortals chapter 1 page 6) of the gods. Blackmail, extortion, murder, and use of her feminine wiles, are not above Kerenhappuch to get what she wants from someone. Indeed, her wrath is strong, and has killed people. Because, if she cannot have the knowledge then no one else will. She is a scheming seductress, who at her whim can twist mortal men around her finger, and make them do as she wishes. She also can turn even the best of friends, among women, against one another.

"She has a skirt of fabulous colors, crafted for her by Kertigen (who she tricked into making it for her by pretending she was Hodierna, and telling Kertigen she needed it to entertain some Dwarves) that will cause any man who looks upon her, while she wears it dancing, to fall in love with her, and cause any male Dwarf to immediately swear fealty to her." (The Immortals Chapter 1 Page 6-7) Kertigen, however, found out he had not made it for Hodierna, and so placed a curse on it so that any woman who sees the beautiful goddess while wearing the skirt will become insanely jealous of her. With red lips and blonde hair, she is a sight to behold--but not a goddess to be trifled with in the least (if there even is one to be trifled with). Kerenhappuch's symbol is a shrew.
