Revision Details
Oct 2: The Tour Desk has been cleaned out. Many discontinued sites have been removed thanks to Rayth's hard work recently in checking them. Alas, some of them were not easy to delete, and I wept.

July 12: Zygmund places his Quest Journal in the Library for everyone to enjoy as his Quest continues. He will be updating it several times a week.

May 4: The Elanthian News Network ticker can now be viewed on affiliate sites.

Mar 24: Archives of previous polls are now available.

Mar 15: Whew! After putting it off for months, I finally went through and checked all the links a the Tour Desk. I had to remove 19, and update a couple with newer locations, but it should all be refreshed now. Anyone who has a web visit that is not at the Tour Desk, be sure to drop by and add it.

I also went through and checked the entire Tavern site for dead links -- and to my surprise, found some errors. 21 pages were fixed. Both these checks were made possible by Xenu's Link Sleuth™.

Mar 8: Added a fun new news ticker which will include news from the realms that may not have stories yet, interesting things at other sites, and other useful information. Please contact Dreamheart if you are interested in adding this news ticker to your pages. (Look at the bottom of the page, there it is now!)

It requires your Java to be turned on in your browser, but is compatible with versions 3 and 4 of both Netscape and Internet Explorer. It's small, and I just couldn't resist it any longer!

Feb 10: Made change to the article submission process which will hopefully get rid of the sporadic long paragraph truncation problem once and for all.

Jan 18: Pick of the Week will feature one of my favorite sites. Some might be new, some might not be. Enjoy them all! The first honor belongs to the Playful Welkin auction.

Jan 2: Cleric Rejj has donated his beautiful work of the Tome of the Gods to the permanent collection in the Library.

Jan 2: Countdown to Qi'Reshalia opens up for a temporary clearing house of information about the opening of the Maritime Province. Information, links, articles, and a message area help people share vital info.

Oct 27: An all new work in progress has been added to the Reference Library. Look for the ledger of merchant items on a shelf. You can help fill in some of the blanks in it if you know the information, too. Help stamp out fraud and scams with item resellers with this reference work!

Oct 23: I am afraid Danner has just been too sober to keep up with the gossip, so we are letting one of the usual busybodies have their say with the Gossip of the Day as you enter the Wren's Nest. (mid-way in the main column of Today's Fare)

If you have some gossipy news to share, make sure you stop by and tell the busybody about it.

Oct 22: The new entryway of the Wren's Nest was placed here. Thanks to the feedback of many people, it has been tweaked, pushed, prodded, and generally made easier to read and more useful. I hope everyone enjoys it. If you have any other suggestions about it, please let me know.

Oct 18: No more spurious javascript errors as you walk in the Tavern, or return back to the main room. (I turfed the javascript!)

Cast your vote on the new format of the main room, too, please.

Oct 16: A new feature will be added to relevant news stories from now on -- a special search at the end of the story that will carefully locate related stories for you without having to go far.

Sep 19: You can now score each visit of the realms at the Tour Desk. Give your favorite, or least favorite sites a score of 1 to 10.

A side benefit of installing the new score ranking is a complete re-evaluation of all the visits. About 20 or so were either under redesign or missing in action, and have been removed.

Sep 17: The Lost Elanthian Library has provided such a valuable archiving service by keeping duplicate copies of the Books of the Realms for all of us to study that I have created a comprehensive searchable index to the books for Kerebrus. Once you look it up in the index, the book will be magically fetched for you, right in the Lost Library of Elanthia. If anyone has any suggestions how to make this better, please do let me know. You'll find the new Book Search in the Library, but remember this special search when you are conducting your usual research, too.

Plus: An update to the Encyclopedia of Whos Who was made to Vochren's page.

Also New: Message archives from previous discussions have been placed at the message area. These conversations have had irrelevant postings excised from them, but that's really all the editing done on them. It was like a step into yesterday to read the poignant accounts of the two Gorbesh attacks.

Sep 11: All the visits at the Tour Desk have been validated again, and over 20 new ones have been added. I hope everyone goes to peek at them, there are some truly charming and excellent visits of the Realms waiting for you in this new batch!

Sept 10: A more flexible, comprehensive, and useful search has been added at the Wren's Nest. It includes all the areas of the Wren's Nest now, and also allows you far more power over your inquiries. You can use the power of an inclusive or exclusive search now, just like at Alta Vista. There's complete tips included. Augst 29: Pentaith's Encyclopedia of Who's Who has a number of new and updated entries in it.

July 24: An all new section, the RoundTable of the Prophecy, has been added where you can place your interpretation of the Prophecy of the Three Deceivers on a special page here at the Wren's Nest. Your notations about each verse sit side by side with that verse.

July 22: Updates and additions this week were made to Pentaith's Encyclopedia of Who's Who in the library. Today, a beautiful full sized reference edition of Lord Atrathien's official Timeline of the Realms was placed in the Library. Earlier in the week, a news story from Romeode surprised many people with the unveiling of Gwindahl's tale. Do not miss that particular parchment At the Bar with the other News stories.

June 25: 11 more visits plus the 19 Visits of the Realms from the 23rd have been added to Baresh's index, and the entire list verified once again.

Scholarly references for study pertaining to the Prophecy were added to Dreamheart's Private Library, as well as a new Pocket Gamgweth Dictionary you can take with you in your travels from Garfaldo!

June 10: The Wren's Nest and Baearholdt's Taproom and Brewery announce the beginning of a new End of the Week Concert series.

July 10: Another valuable contribution to the Library here at the Wren's Nest was made today with Pentaith's excellent reference work in his Encyclopedia of Who's Who in Elanthia. Do not miss these brief one page biographical summaries of some of the important people in history and current events. Pentaith is still finishing the book, so it will be updated as he writes more.

It will be held each Saturday Evening at 10:30pm (Eastern).

June 8: 113 Visits of the realms just got to be too much to look at every time you visited the Tour Desk. Baresh made his categorized index available now -- but you can still search.

June 5: Baresh went through and added a number of new visits of the Realms to the Tour Desk, while removing some that have ceased to be. Alas, a quiet moment for Aiffe's House.

May 31: Baresh dismantled the War Room and gave Dreamheart her private library back. Some of the things are still packed up, though. A scholar doing Gamgweth translations has taken up residence in the quiet of the library. The personal and eyewitness accounts left in messages during Sorrow's Spring have been set aside from the other messages, and our Current Events area is cleaned up and ready to go again.

May 19: Baresh cleaned out a special area of the Wren's Nest just for collecting news and references related to any war, seige, invasion or other related information. He called it The War Room.

May 15:    As the rumors of war increase and the citizens of the realms become edgier after the hasty Gorbesh retreat, there are preparations underfoot now so that we might not be caught so unawares next time. Will you be ready? Everyone can do something, help coordinate the efforts in Preparations for War.

May 8:    An area to discuss the Prophecy of the Three Deceivers was set aside.

May 1:   A new board has been added to accomodate the requests for a central place of concise and accurate information as the Gorbesh threaten our way of life and the bony fylgja desecrate our holy places.

Feb 25:    New stories at the bar were sent in with the fascinating events surrounding an appearance by a gremlin on Her Oppulance and bony filgja skirmishes at Guild Halls. You'll find new and updated sites to see at the Tour Desk, too.

Feb 7: All New Chat/IRC has been added here at the Wren's Nest for those times when you want a full featured chat or IRC at blistering response speeds. It doesn't matter whether you come in through your favorite IRC client or the special web page entrance, everyone will end up in the same chat room. While we hate it when there are bad storms in the Realms, too, this particular setup should solve some of the many response issues which were a problem with the old parachat. Look over the instructions page for all the info you need on server, room, port, etc. Or just check out the new web chat interface! I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. I was, and I had been looking a long time for something like this.

Feb 7: All the visits at the Tour Desk have been verified again, and we were sad to see a few missing from their previous addresses. More new ones added again today, giving a total of 95 sorted, annotated, and searchable visits of the Realms.

Feb 6: Duties outside of the Realms have kept me from the Wren's Nest the past few weeks. I just caught up on the stories which people submitted, added new and updated links to the Tour Desk, repaired the Chalkboard, and will be working on some more things around the building over the weekend. Keep those stories coming!

Baresh carelessly left his tally of drinks served out on the bar and someone spilled ale all over it! We lost a few days worth of records, but Baresh has a new tally page again.

Jan 1: Well, I goofed when I moved the Chalkboard back in a section. People haven't really seemed to be able to find it. So for now, I am putting the games away until I can find more room for them and moving the Chalkboard back out on the main menu so people can use it each day like they did before. The Chalkboard will also be on the Public Forums listing.

Nov 15: After months of working on the redecoration, it is done. It is quite a job working on a Tavern while still keeping it open for business. I know some of you have noticed the new paint in places, and some of you have missed the old menus as different sections were revised. Many things conspired to keep me away from finishing this all up, but it is done now, and I hope you will enjoy it. Please feel free to offer your suggestions and comments, or tell me if you see a problem or one of the old black pages pop up! dream@dm.net

Nov 15: Upstairs tenants are moving in!

Nov 15: All new boards for your messages, banter, issues, and soapboxes have been installed. These should be far faster than the previous ones, and they will not cause Internet Explorer to ... freak out.

Nov 15: The new redecorated Wren's Nest has renamed a few things so they are easier to find, and moved a couple things so that the navigation is not so cluttered. The new Java navigation buttons in the left margin are optional and self-detecting. Non-java visitors will not be inconvenienced by them.

Note to MSIE 4.0 users: Due to the incompatibility of Java in Microsoft's new browser, some Java applets may not function properly when it encounters Java. Internet Explorer 3 works fine, as does Netscape's Communicator (4) and Navigator 3. We reccomend any of these three until MSIE sees its next update/fix.
