Information About the Wren's Nest Tavern
The Wren's Nest was started as a place to
store and make memories of our journeys in the Realms. Some use magic to
see into the future. We use memories to dream into the past and record them
for the future. I am so glad you stopped by to share with us.

- A warm thanks for the moral support in the complicated matter of opening up a Tavern
to all my friends, to the special people who have been contributing both
current and historical articles, and to those who encouraged the dream to
grow from the seed of an idea.
- Beautiful new Wren's Nest Logo and the DragonRealms opening logo on the Tavern entry by
Solis. For those who wonder,
the bird's name is Wrenfirth.
- The bookmark used on the Who's Who pages is a Celtic design from the Celtic Web Art pages.
- After trying many things, I finally found the simplest, most awesome link
checking program on the face of the web! Xenu's Link Sleuth is simple, fast, and
thorough.
Tavern Notices:
- The entire contents of all associated pages of the Wren's Nest
Tavern are copyrighted works by the various contributing authors. For
permission to use anything, you should contact the author of the work.
- The proprieter uses Internet Explorer 4 which gives
the best overall control of appearances and recommends it to everyone.
If IE3 is not available for your Priceless Contraption, I check it for
functionality on Netscape 3 and 4
(from time to time).
- No guarantees, warantees, or promises are made whether anything
functions with any AOL Browser before version 3. If you INSIST on seeing
the web through Steve Case's eyes instead of properly as noted in one of
the two links above, at least update to version 3. It is not pretty, but
it is better, at least. No, I don't know what the keyword is to upgrade,
but I'm betting a saavvy AOL user like you can find it.
- The Wren's Nest makes use of the new FREE true type font called
Verdana. Get it if you do not have it, it is a nice readable
font for viewing on screen.
- If something looks goofy, hit the reload/refresh button. If that does
not work, contact the Barkeep immediately, maybe the Bosslady goofed.
- You do not need permission to link to any pages in the Tavern. Drop
Baresh a line if you do, and make sure you are on his favorites list so he
can recommend a visit to you from Wren's Nest Patrons.
- Many people ask what tools I use for the Wren's Nest.
(for the record, I use Windows 95)
I use the finest and most flexible web page editor I've
ever seen, it is called HomeSite, by Allaire.(Win 95 only)
No, before you ask, this is not some WYSIWYG toothless wonder
from the boys in Redmond. If you have not learned HTML, this
is not the application for you.
For editing
the perl scripts, I use a shareware text editor called Ultra Edit. You can
look for it at it's own web site.
