1. Five levels of awards will be given in the regular classes: gold, vermeil, silver, silver bronze, and bronze, with an additional platinum level in the one frame class. The show will be judged on a national level and an open show basis. An unlimited number of each of the awards will be available to the judges.
2. Exhibits will be classed
in the following divisions. This
is per the approved standards as established by the American Philatelic
Society. Special awards by other
societies, Georgia Federation and federation member clubs will also be
available.

3. All exhibits must be the
personal property of the exhibitor.
4. An exhibitor may enter a
second exhibit, but a separate entry form must be submitted. Photocopies of the title page and/or
plan page are required and should be sent with the entry form. Please send 7 copies, to be made
available to the judges in advance of the show. These copies may be sent later than the exhibit forms, but
must be received by September 5, 2003.
5. Exhibit frames will hold
16 pages, 8.5 x 11 inches, in four horizontal rows of four pages each. A maximum of ten frames will be
allotted per exhibit. Transparent
page protectors are required.
6. The entry fee is $15.00 in
the single frame class, $8.00 per frame for other adult exhibits and $2.00 per
frame for youth or transitional frames.
Entry fees must accompany entry form. Make checks payable to Peach State Stamp Show, and mail
entry forms and check to Pete Gray, PSSS 2003 Exhibit Chairman, 527 San
Salvador Drive, North Augusta, SC 29841.
7. Deadline for receipt of
completed entry forms is September 5, 2003. Entries may close earlier due to frame limitations. No refund of entry fees shall be made
after September 15, 2003 for any reason.
8. A panel of at least five
APS accredited judges will judge the exhibits. The decisions of the judges will be final.
9. Exhibits sent by mail
should be sent insured, registered or express mail and should arrive between
September 19 and 25, 2003. Exhibits
to be mounted by the exhibitor must be delivered at the Cobb Civic Center
between 5-7 PM, September 25, 2003.
10. Exhibits to be returned
by mail should have adequate return fees included with the entry form. Registration, express mail or insured
receipt mail is required. Exhibits
to be picked up in person will be released after 4 PM on September 29.
11. Exhibits should be mailed
to PSSS, c/o Owen Gleaton, Attn: David Will, 1230
Peachtree Street N.E., Suite 1400, Atlanta 30309.
12.Due precautions will be
taken to safeguard exhibits.
Insurance is the responsibility of the exhibitor. No liability shall be borne by the
Georgia Federation of Stamp Clubs, Peach State Stamp Show. or the Cobb County
Civic Center.
