HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! |
Being that I'm my mother's Number #1 child in every sense (all right, just the oldest) I should not feel the need to prove myself her favorite. But I will! And all that takes is chocolate! Here's a wonderful recipe guaranteed to leave all mothers--all humankind--with their mouths watering in anticipation!
Cream Puff Cake
| 1/2 cup margarine
1 cup flour
3 small boxes instant 4 cups cold milk |
1 small Cool Whip
1 cup water 4 eggs 8 oz. cream cheese fudge syrup |
Crust: Bring margarine and water to a boil. Remove from the stove, add flour and stir all together. Beat in eggs one at a time. Spread into 9 x 13 greased pan, and bake at 400o for 25 minutes, or until golden. Cool.
Filling: Mix pudding with milk. Add cream cheese (softened), beat together. Spread top with Cool Whip, drizzle on fudge syrup. Chill two hours.

These are my Mom and Dad, Fran & Renee Kloecker, attending one of my booksignings. In keeping with the Mother's Day theme, I asked my Mom which was her favorite part of my book, A Knight's Vow--the one I'm holding in the picture. Her favorite part was the ending, which she thought was happy and fulfilling and totally romantic. I said, "Mom, how can you pick the ending?? I can't reveal that on the website!" But she said I couldn't change her mind--so I won't try! Happy Mother's Day, Mom! And thanks for everything! |
