Statement
I have read and understand and agree to abide by the rules of the Third
Annual FF&P RWA Chapter Contest: On The Far Side (the contest). I
understand that it may be necessary, in the course of running the contest,
for decisions to be made regarding matters not specifically covered by the
written rules of the contest, and that such decisions shall be undertaken
by the contest coordinator and/or the FF&P Sub-genre Chapter leadership
without prior notice to the entrants. I also realize that manuscript
judging is subjective by nature; accordingly, I will accept and abide by
the decision of the judges and/or contest coordinator and/or FF&P
Sub-Genre Chapter officials regarding winners in the contest. Further, I
understand that the entry fee pays for the processing of my entry in the
contest and that the FF&P Sub-Genre Chapter, the officers of the Chapter,
the contest coordinator, and the judges make no promises of any kind
regarding the appropriateness, scope, or amount of critique my manuscript
may receive as a result of my entry in the contest. I shall hold blameless
FF&P RWA, contest personnel, and judges for any and all disputes arising
from rules decision, the awarding of prizes, and manuscript critique with
regard to the contest.
I also certify that, should I win the letter of recommendation in any of
the four categories, I shall have a complete manuscript for the entered
work ready within calendar year 1998 and that I will comply with all
requirements given FF&P by the editor in question with regard to submitting
my winning work. Should I fail to have a completed work or to comply with
the requirements of the editor, I understand I will forfeit my letter of
recommendation prize.
I further certify that this entry is my original work and I am a member in
good standing of ROMANCE WRITERS OF AMERICA.
