Khuanta Philakun at age 6 yrs old in 1998

This page will be used to give information and pictures of my lovely overseas foster child, Khuanta Philakun, who lives in Thailand.

In 1993, I became an overseas foster mom through Plan Canada International. At that time, I became the sponsor of 1 yr. old Khuanta Philakun and have enjoyed being involved with her family and community, knowing the money I sponsor benefits both the family and the community.

I will include both information and pictures on this page. At the moment, the information/text is still under construction, but that will be added in the very near future.

   • Khuanta, 1 year old - This is little Khuanta, the first year I started sponsoring her.

   • Khuanta, 1 year and her Mom - Here Khuanta is with her mom, Somsuay Saenseemon. I do not have a picture of her dad, Phudtha Philakun, but all three live together in a rural village in the Ban Phue district in Thailand.

   • Khuanta, 2 years old and Mom - a year later, here is a picture of Khuanta with her mom.

   • Khuanta, Mom and house - here you can see how different living conditions are compared to what we are used to. Khuanta and Somsuay are standing outside of their house.

   • Khuanta in party dress - this is one of my favourite pictures of Khuanta. She is 3 yrs. old and in her party dress.

   • Kuhanta and Mom - this picture is of Khuanta (3 yrs. old) and her mom.

   • Khuanta, 4 yrs. old - what a difference a year makes. Here she is, 4 yrs. old and looking like a little girl growing up.

   • Khuanta with Mom - hehe...it looks like she doesn't really like getting her picture taken. She does seem to outgrow this phase of being camera-shy.

   • Khuanta, 5 yrs. old - She looks like a little tomboy in this picture, but is starting to show what a pretty girl she is going to grow up to be.

   • Khuanta and Mom inside - This picture was taken inside their new home. They built this new home which consists of one room and one window. More information about this when I get the history done up.

   • Khuanta, 6 yrs. old - I can't believe how much she has grown in the last year! Is this not a gorgeous picture of her?

   • Khuanta, Mom and new brother - Khuanta is 6 yrs old and in the last year, a new baby brother, Theerachai, was born.
