Those of us who grieve for a dear pet need to know that we will indeed see that loved and loving creature again: just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal that has been especially close to someone dies, it goes there to the Rainbow Bridge. There, there are meadows and hills for all of our special friends to run and play. The sun shines always, and there is plenty of food and water for all and they are warm and comfortable. They are also very happy, except that each one misses someone very special.
Eventually, a day comes when a pet stops, stands and sniffs, then runs from the group. You have been seen, you meet and love one another. Then together, you cross the Rainbow Bridge.
