Day 6 -- Sat. March 28, 1998

It's over. I'm back home, safe and sound.

I woke up this morning and it was kinda overcast. But I figured it was no big deal. So I took a shower. Then I heard this light crackling noise. When I looked outside, it was raining. But the wind was so strong, the rain was practically falling sideways. And TWC kept saying that there were storms coming.

So I checked out. But I really wanted to check out this one bookstore in Bullhead City. So I did. I found a couple of books -- not much. And then I hit the road around 11:00am.

There was some rain and storms on the road and it was very overcast until about an hour out of Barstow. But I made good time on the road. Around Barstow, I kept hearing about snow in the Cajon pass. So I was a little nervous, but when I hit the pass, there were a few flurries. That was it. And then I hit no traffic.

So I got home around 4:30pm. My kitty was very glad to see me. As I started to unpack my suitcase, I heard this very tiny pitiful meow. When I looked under the bed, there she sat. Then, when she realized it was me, she became very vocal.

I had a wonderful trip and I can't wait until another one.
