Dr. Mary Ellen Williams Walsh, as well as having the distinction of being my mother, is also a Professor of English at Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho. She earned an M.A. and Ph.D. in English from the University of Arizona, and among her many accomplishments, she spent two years teaching English literature at the National University of Rwanda on a Fulbright Award. Her area of expertise is modern western American women writers.
